Poor BAD - another day spent oan ra t'interweb as he has nae pals in real life.

All his hard earned money from his shifts at the local Maccy Ds donated to Phil McWiddenGun so can't even afford to go for a pint.

 

My aunt lives just outside of Toronto in Orangeville I think it is called and have cousins in King City or something?

Memory from round about 1980.

My longest and closest pal was born on a bus in Boston, Mass. His Dad never settled so the family returned to Scotland. The first time neither of us were pumping some local action we booked flights to Boston. We met many of his relatives and family friends however one individual, apart from the American bints, stood out. Everbody we met had assumed (?) an American accent except Arthur. Before our visit to Arthur's house we were advised to be in for a surprise. We stood outside waiting for the door to be opened and were then confronted by a guy wearing a Glasgow Ranger's top who asked; "Alright. which one of you is the Pape bairn?". This was incorrectly being addressed to my pal as his Dad had, unknown to Arthur, given up his catholicism . We both started pissing ourselves. Anyway Arthur did not have a hint of an American accent and we could have been meeting a family friend in Govan. This was further emphasised when we walked through the house to the lounge; the place was covered in framed Ranger's strips signed by John Greig and others plus other memorabilia. The next day we were going into Boston with Arthur and others. Before we had some fun in the 'combat zone' (area with strip bars etc) Arthur took us for a tour around the main Masonic Lodge in Boston.
