The levels I played at, the refs always shouted instructions during games so seems normal to me.

Don’t remember any teams getting a penalty for a clash of heads though.

 

The penalty was given for the opposition player being reckless in his challenge resulting in a head clash .

Not an accidental clash of heads . Reckless , out of control challenge .

Could have been worse , never seen a penalty for losing teeth to a reckless knee - given to the team with the reckless knee

Someone is lashing out because he’s been found out, he told us he was some player back in the day but didn’t know that refs talk to players during games

i played pro youth and I dont remember refs instructing players how to play, or desperately trying to stop them making a bad tackle

I do remember refs at lower being a bit more talkative tho, asking if you understood a particular signal etc, very amateur coded

 

Was obvious Celtic were dropping points today, expected Dundee United to win tbh

 

Don’t think the pencils were even out today.

If the dandy dons pick up a bit of form over christmas and new year, they could still make a title race of this yet

somehow the higher level they ref, the more they tell the players how to play, make it make sense

Declan’s played in games where Nick Walsh and Bobby Madden have been the refs and they talk to the players all the time.

Even ref watch on Sky, when they upload the audio from the ref, you hear them talking to the players all the time.

You are just giving yourself a showing up here.

theres talking to players and theres telling them how to play, which is generally the coaches job

who said they dont talk to players? I said they dont instruct them how to play, when to tackle and pass etc, didnt think that would be controversial

declan isnt going to make it because hes not good enough, I would easily have made it if I tried but I chucked it to run about with the young team, I was smoking hash every day and drinking 2 bottles of vino on friday when I was playing at the TOP LEVEL for my age, we are not the same

 

my spatial IQ is quite high, thats why im 2000 elo on lichess without memorising theory, and i was obsessed with football from a young age, vision and range of passing, composure, comfortable as **** on the ball, good control, two footed, strong, timing of the challenge, positional awareness, only thing I didnt have was speed, if I had been dedicated to fitness I was nailed on for a career in scotland, at what level I dont know but when I look at the standard in the SPL now, id guess mid table minimum

people still shake their head when they see me because I threw it all away, people who knew me when I was that age, but my dad and uncle were also talented wasters, its in my blood
