Rangers are still after compensation for the players that left them after their financial meltdown according to a story I just read online. I can't see how they can possibly get any now given the time that has passed. Wouldn't they be able to ask for inflated fees based on performances after the event, like Aluko's value must have gone up?
They will be lucky. SSN have reported than Aluko - Whittaker and Lafferty have all issued legal proceedings against the old Rangers for constructive dismissal. Charles Green is pis.sing in the wind and it will blow back in his face.
Tweet from Aluko "I DONT have nor am I interested in slightest in any claims/tribunals and any other scenario of that nature against anyone. Not my style!"
Isn't that relating to the players union being formed.to pursue a claim against rangers for.the transfer of their contracts? I'm sure I read that this week somewhere
cant see them getting anything from us. if there is anything the allams have it is the money for lawyers
Surely once the paperwork for the move is lodged etc and clearance given by the relevant bodies then that's the end of it.
it is the end of it as far as getting any money in. Green needs to wake up and accept whats happened.
Charles Green is truly a right twat - God knows what the jocks make of him after everything thats gone on at the Club. Calling almost every club in the SPL for refusing to agree to Rangers having a place in the top division and saying Villa were rubbish and that Rangers should be in the EPL instead. The guy's a clown.
I think Rangers will be able to get compensation but it will be a very small amount not worth bothering about
On what grounds? I've no idea of any detail so this is just guesswork on my part, but if we got him from the old Rangers, they were liquidated and don't exist to take action against us. If we bought him from the new club, the deal would have to be ratified by the authorities. What am I missing?
I think the new rangers are claiming they bought the contracts from the old rangers for like 1 pound. Something dumb like that.
But the amount of time that has past is months. There has to be a cut off point as to when a club can take action?
Again, I'm no expert and not at all clued up on the details but, I'm not sure they can just buy the contracts. The contracts would have been between old Rangers and the player. At the point of liquidation, I suspect the players would have the option of transferring his existing contract to the new Club or walking away. Sell on clauses to other clubs could complicate it I guess.
I thought all players were asked if they wanted to stay on or leave and upon leaving, become a Free Agent meaning Rangers don't have the ownership of the contract anymore meaning no compensation should really be claimed? It's just their new owners trying to scrounge back some money via public media. Jockstraps.
I don't really know much about how we managed to get Aluko really. OLM should get on Twitter and get asking Buckingham.
