It's just a load of old nonsense proberbly, there was no way we were going to get through the window without our players being linked to clubs. Tbh if Newcastle offered that I would proberbly take it!
could be crossed wires with Ravel Morrison. Sheesh that guy makes Barton look like a saint. He's pleading guilty to two counts of witness intimidation and has a police caution for assaulting his mother. Bet she's well proud of him.
absolutely no deal re: holt according to mcnally, no matter what price offered. nothing at all to worry about rangers couldn't afford him anyway.
McNally on twitter just now:- david mcnally @davidmcnally62 For the record, Grant Holt is not for sale, to Rangers or any club. None of Paul's players are for sale #ncfc @norwichcityfc #yellowarmy
You beat me to it Cromer! Pretty sure that should put to bed any rumours on that front, I don't think we'd sell Holt for the £6m or so Everton are supposed to be paying Rangers for Jelavic, that's if Rangers even have all that money to spend. Selling Holt would utterly destroy the teams spirit, it isn't going to happen.
Saints fan in peace. Nearly soiled myself when I saw this rumour. Your man is currently worth more than Rangers FC as an entity.
you may very well be right! i believe the bid was around the £2m mark which is insulting to be honest. they just sold someone for £7m who isn't fit to lace holt's boots yet they offer us peanuts.
Actually the the tweet that interested me most was... davidmcnally62 @TruckerNCFC @talkSPORT @SkySportsNews Matt, yes, he is not for sale. 2 hours ago TruckerNCFC Matt @davidmcnally62 is that a promise to US FANS that Grant Holt is going nowhere.. Lots of spec on @talkSPORT and @SkySportsNews #Ncfc 2 hours ago --- If that doesn't convince you IDK what will!
we aren't dealing with neil doncaster people - this is david mcnally!! we are a different club these days and we have literally nothing to worry about while this man is in charge. in fact, even if he sold someone and we questioned it i'd still trust his decision making as it has proved spot on so far
I wonder if Holt was being used as a sweetener for Jelavic leaving Rangers. Maybe it's all this Howson/Bates business at Leeds, but it could be that Rangers have simply targeted a player that they know isn't for sale and they probably haven't got the money to buy in any case, so they can then tell their fans that they did everything in their power to replace Jelavic.
Good thought, but doesn't work. They wouldn't do it to try and prove something. They are a business and need players. Jelavic out means that they will need a replacement and so they will go for someone they think would do well and someone who will want to go to the club. Just here they have got it completely wrong.
