**** em, stick em the the 3rd division. We manage without the scum, so they can make do without Rangers. They've fleeced everyone, so why should they go straight back in at the top.?!! Hard on the fans, but harder on those struggling and now have a chance at the Champions League spot.
To be honest, who cares, apart from Rangers fans. A bit like Portsmouth, they've 'cheated' their way to success by buying and paying players that they can ill afford and are now paying the price.
The one thing everyone on this thread has overlooked is that, Glasgow Celtic will be playing in the champions league season after season! A pipe dream to others less fortunate, if you get my drift.....Hail-Hail.
I think most, if not all of us, realise that but then again it's nothing new is it? On the other hand, once in Europe and especially the group stages the gulf in class against other European teams becomes a bit more evident
I live in Scotland and support Glasgow Rangers and my favourite English team since childhood is Norwich City (from when John Bond was manager). I agree with Superman if you take Rangers out of the SPL then there is a serious danger of other teams going to the wall. As it is Hearts and Kilmarnock are struggling and that was before the Rangers fiasco, so a SPL without Rangers could easily be the tipping point for both those clubs. Also, Sky TV are threatning to pull the TV deal for Scottish football if there is no Rangers in the SPL. Also, likely that sponsors and advertisers may do likewise or renegotiate on lower terms. I go to all the Rangers games in Scotland including away from home, and when Rangers play away at a lot of the grounds we are filling the majority of the teams stadiums! The home teams make the most of the situation by over charging Rangers fans for tickets and food, so they will lose a lot of money without Rangers fans. Most Rangers fans realise this and ironic or not would be quite happy to play in League 3! This probably surprises you as a few of you are saying that Gers should be put in League 3! The reason for this is that Rangers have already been punished severely with 10 points deduction last season, loss of European football next season and next 3 years, administration then liquidation, threat of transfer embargo's etc. No team in England has ever been punished as much as this! So, Rangers fans knowing that other teams will lose out financially if they are put down to League 3 are actually wanting it because of rivals wanting to over punish Rangers in attempts to damage or kill the club.
you've explained it far better than i did, so thanks! is your gut feeling that the other clubs will keep rangers 2012 (or whatever they end up being called) in the premier division?
