It pisses on London and South London in particular.

You're confusing house values with quality, and standard of living with quality of life.

Good luck with rebuilding Croydon after the riots, by the way.....

I thought Agro, that most of Palace's players came from London's West End?

I lived in Thornton Heath from 89-91, just round the corner from Palace. At the time Palace and Charlton were ground sharing. They were both in what was then division 1 so there was a top league game there every week.

They had 3 against Ipswich (H), 2 against Brighton (H) and 2 against us (H)

    Seven in three home games...

I can't take someone seriously saying areas like Croydon is better than Hull.

FFS! You see what your scummy twats did in the riots the other summer?

I don't remember seeing anything happen up here.

Visited relatives in Sarth London last April and Tooting Mitcham Croydon were the pits..only Carshalton resembled anything like civilised life..

The pubs down there are horrid, the place is untidy unkept and there's wall to walll traffic - Kensington & Chelsea it aint. Oh and not wishing to sound racist but anglo saxons are a bit thin on the ground down there.

Sure parts of Hull need a good sort out but overall we win hands down - and we're surrounding by lovely countryside in the East Riding.

On Hull buses, it's banter with the driver before "Cheers, drahve" as you alight.

On London buses , it's Crimewatch as some passenger combusts himself <laugh>

I used to live in Tooting, it's not too bad at all, though I lived on the outskirts near Nightingale Lane, next to the common and near Marco Pierre White's place before he was famous.

All cities have nice areas and **** areas, London just has more of both.

I lived in Crouch End, Finsbury Park, Woodgreen, Tooting, Clapham and Wembley. Crouch End was very nice, Finsbury Park was full of hookers and drug dealers(but I quite liked it), Woodgreen was alright apart from everyone sounding like Harry Enfield's Stavros, Tooting was alright, Clapham was good, Wembley is the biggest ****-hole it's ever been my misfortune to own property in.

If Wembley got nuked tomorrow, the world would be a better place, never have so many vermin congregated in the same place(other than Luton, obviously).

I used to live on Nightingale Lane in the early nineties, just south of the Nightingale Pub! MPW's restaurant is now Chez Bruce - a top restaurant.

Like all places London has good and bad.

I was there in the early 90's, maybe we passed each other on the Lane. <laugh>

I lived at the top end(St Peters Close, Tooting) in the late 80's, then moved to the bottom end(Yukon Road, Clapham South) for the early 90's(moved back to Beverley in 91).

It was good there at the time, Harvey's and The Consevatory were good restaurants and do you remember a clothes shop called Crowther & Cie?

I moved there in 1991 - house of 5 lads in our first jobs in London, partly because after viewing the house we went to the Pitcher & Piano pub by Clapham South and were well impressed with the quality of good looking girls there!!

One of my mates had a girlfriend on Yukon Rd!

Harveys has gone now. The Watershed on Northcote was good, sadly it became a Pitcher & Piano. Didn't know the clothes shop. A lot of the multiple retailers have moved in, unfortunately. Nevertheless still a great area - top bars, restaurants and stunning women.

Tooting still has some great curry houses.

Palace had 2 penalties against Cardiff in their home game.
I think they practice falling over if you look at them
Either that or their training ground 18 yard box has a trip wire on the line.

I used to be in the Pitcher and Piano a lot, it was indeed pretty good on the totty front.

I got food poisoning from the take away next door once, thought I was going to die.

Yes I was there last night, and you are talking absolute ****. Lucky to have 10 men on the field? I'm sorry but that is just ridiculous. You are one of those people who can only ever see one side to things, and that is the Palace side. We didn't play anywhere near our best, Bruce got his team selection wrong, and conceding a penalty that was never a penalty in the 45th minute didn't help. Coming out having to completely attack to get something away from home, all because of the referee and that made it easy for you to score on the counter.

Total disgrace by the 3 match officials. It was obvious from the off that they were homers and gave Palace almost everything. In saying that City handled it all very well First Half with Zaha, Murray and Phillips almost invisable. When the board went up for one minute i thought that was that for the half and the game was moving towards deaths door and a final 0-0 scoreline. With the scandalous penalty award converted by KP then City had to come out and open up the game even more so. KP 3 goals were lucky in various ways. Zaha took advantage of space as we were pressing up the pitch. Simpson and Meyler actually scored good goals when all is said and done.

But like Bolton its all done and dusted and we have to move on now to the next game. With most other results going for us not much damage was done in the end. But its now very easy to see why and how Palace have gained so many points at home. The away teams dont have a chance with officials liek we had on tuesday. KP says Holloway picked a team to hurt Hull City. So did Holloway pick and pay the 3 clowns in black i wonder ?? <whistle>

at bolton and palace we have panicked at 2-0 imo, and gone hell for leather to get a goal back asap and that has left us exposed and easily picked off..
sometimes just need to regroup , tighten up and work your way back into a game not leave it 3 v 2 at the back...
