Was just aimlessly thinking about next season and stumbled across the Championship table. Even based an alphabetical ordering we start 15th, our natural berth
I knew we should have changed with the Coronation - Kings Park Rangers are pushing for play-offs ;)

A rendezvous with history: Vienna to face Queens Park Rangers
A grand stage at the Hohe Warte: two weeks before the competitive action gets under way, First Vienna FC will host Queens Park Rangers from London at the Hohe Warte on Saturday 11 July 2026, at 6:30 PM. This prestigious fixture marks the official start of the campaign for the Blue & Yellows and brings together two clubs whose histories are deeply rooted in the origins of the beautiful game. Special thanks go to Onside Sports for their support in organising this international clash between two historic clubs. Tickets are available in advance at www.1894.at/tickets.

More Than Just a Friendly
A match steeped in history. An evening for football romantics. A reunion of two tradition-steeped clubs that first met almost a century ago.

On 30 January 1933, Vienna visited Queens Park Rangers in London as part of its legendary tour of England and caused a sensation by claiming a remarkable 3-0 victory. Ninety-three years later, the two clubs meet again – with the London outfit, founded in 1882, travelling to Vienna for this special occasion.

Few opponents could be more fitting for Vienna than Queens Park Rangers. For the history of the Blue & Yellows is inextricably linked to the story of British football.

British Co-Founders
It was British gardeners employed by Baron Nathaniel Mayer von Rothschild who organised one of Austria’s first-ever football matches on one of the Baron’s meadows. Four Brits faced four Austrians, laying the foundation for a unique footballing story. This encounter gave rise to Austria’s oldest football club: First Vienna Football Club 1894, founded on 22 August 1894.

Even the club’s iconic crest bears a British influence. William Beale, one of the club’s founding members, designed the famous emblem featuring the Triskelion, inspired by his homeland, the Isle of Man.

Now Vienna is set to add another special chapter to its remarkable history at the Hohe Warte, a venue that has been the stage for unforgettable football moments for generations.

Main shirt sponsors for next season a ****ing online casino. Classy.
Just done my house deposit money on Mr Q’s QPR-themed slots chasing the triple Jonathan Varane bonus.

Watford had these last season and fans kicked up a fuss which led to the option of a sponsor-free shirt. Never buy the shirt myself and it wouldn’t bother me if I did but it’s understandable people don’t want it. Exposure to gambling is so rife within football this makes no difference IMO but I’ve seen already some strong feelings over it.

Bring back Binatone.

Rodney Marsh will receive his English football legacy cap ( No. 878 ) before tonight's warm up match v New Zealand. He gained his 1st cap v Switzerland in 1971 while playing for us and gained another 8 caps while playing for Man City.

That’s nice. Does he get it in-person? I’d tune in for that before falling asleep during the first half.
