Injury update

Following the international break, the club would like to provide an injury update as we prepare for the final eight fixtures of the 2024/25 campaign.

All timelines are subject to players continuing on their current rehabilitation paths.

Steve Cook, who came off against Leeds before the international break, will need a period of offload to help manage an ongoing foot injury which was first sustained at the end of December. He is currently on course to rejoin team training next week in the build up to our home fixture with Cardiff City.

Jonathan Varane and Alfie Lloyd have both rejoined team training this week following short spells out with a hamstring injury and ankle issue respectively.

Sam Field has started work on the pitch following the ankle injury he sustained against Portsmouth. The midfielder is on course to resume team training next week.

Rayan Kolli is progressing well following a hamstring injury and it is anticipated he will reintegrate into team training next week.

After a period of time progressing his rehab, Žan Celar will gradually build up his training load over the coming weeks.

Ilias Chair has started back on the pitch but will be sidelined for a further four weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury against Middlesbrough.

Following hip surgery earlier this year,
Jake Clarke-Salter has had a successful eight-week follow-up appointment with the specialist and is now targeting pitch-based rehab in approximately two-to-three weeks.

Just this on the BBC website. Is this old news? A pair of peeping Tom's?

QPR academy duo to face no action over voyeurism accusation

Sami Mokbel
Senior football correspondent

Two Queens Park Rangers academy players accused of voyeurism are no longer under investigation, police have confirmed.

In a statement issued to BBC Sport, a spokesman for the Championship club said the players "maintained their innocence throughout" and were looking forward to "continuing to focus on their careers".

The footballers, both in their late teens, were detained following a report of a crime at a nightclub in Kingston, south west London, on 5 February.

At the time, the Metropolitan Police confirmed the pair's arrest while QPR also verified that they were aware of the allegations.

Police officers arrested the two players at the club's training ground in Hounslow on 27 February.

A Metropolitan Police statement read: "On Thursday 27 February, police arrested two men in their late teens on suspicion of voyeurism.

"This follows a report of an incident which took place at a nightclub in Kingston on Wednesday 5 February.

"Both suspects were taken to a police station and were subsequently bailed pending further enquiries.

"Following a thorough investigation, both men have been informed that no further action will be taken.

"The victim has been informed."

A QPR statement read: "Queens Park Rangers Football Club can confirm the Metropolitan Police have concluded their investigation into this matter and have confirmed there is no action to be taken.

"The club expresses its gratitude to the Metropolitan Police for their thorough approach to the process.

"The academy players, who maintained their innocence throughout, look forward to putting this behind them and continuing to focus on their careers."

This is a great YouTube channel for those of us of a certain vintage, seasons reviews from the late sixties/early seventies where the bloke has culled all the surviving footage of our games and put them in order. Sterling work. He expects to get 75/76 up in June.
