They were in the squad at about the same time but never played for England together.

One of most memorable moments supporting the R's. Was high up in the Northbank behind the goal the celebrations were incredible, my beer ended up in the air as we celebrated the historic moment. How we could do with a Clive Allen type right now.
I had just turned sixteen nine days prior to this game. I was a third of the way up the North Bank right behind the goal. I think I've done alright on a professional and personal level since then.

Back in the day…..loved those hats and had a half QPR/Half Hearts version.
Any of the old timers on here (even older than me) have any memories of a player called Derek Tye in the early/mid Sixties? Don’t think he ever made the first team, perhaps a youth player….
You’re younger than me mate! Just interested as this bloke, now sadly dead, was the first, and best, boss of a good friend of mine - in Australia. My mate has an interest in QPR because of him. Slim chance of anyone knowing of him, he obviously didn’t make the grade as a footballer.
I still find it hard to accept how such a good talent could ruin their own career so badly.
Yeah he’s only playing in the Champions League quarter finals.
The visitors then ruthlessly punished a poor touch from former Tottenham and QPR midfielder Adel Taarabt, as Trent Alexander-Arnold angled a superb ball into Diaz and the forward cushioned a header into Mane's path to give him a simple finish.
Still find it depressing looking at the size of him now and playing in that deep role. In my minds eye he'll always be that elusive slinky playmaker nutmegging everyone in the ground and curling one into the top corner just like in my avatar ! So many happy memories, **** the kebabs and the bus ride home lol

It was a shame we didn’t see more of this guy in the Hoops, particularly as he took the Russian rouble to largely warm the bench as Shamford Bridge after his Toon loan.
