Interesting. Not short of self confidence, to put it politely, which I suspect is a necessary trait of all managers.

Sky reporting the following are out of contract at the end of the season. Who should we offer new terms to:
Albert Adomah
Dominic Ball
Yoann Barbet
Dillon Barnes
David Marshall
Moses Odubajo
Charlie Owens
Lee Wallace

I might be a bit thick but I don’t understand this at all. Are we expecting to play exclusively on very narrow pitches from now on? Although the addition of graphics highlighting certain players and drawing lines between them, just like on MOTD, was excellent, proving, definitively now I think, that the shortest distance between two objects is a straight line (relativity, time and other dimensions excluded). You must log in or register to see media
Albert, Barbet, Moses definitely. With the others I think they'll want to assess at the end of the season. Will depend on what Division we will play in, the players progression or lack of it - Owens and Barnes, and if they can manage another season at our level then Wallace and Marshall. Ball may want to go somewhere else to get more games.
I agree Ball was brilliant when he had to replace Sanderson against BlackpoolAgree with your three definites, would also add Ball into that group too. I still believe Ball fulfills an important role and would like to see him and Field together as our defensive midfield.
No chance Notts Florist will sign them all.Sky reporting the following are out of contract at the end of the season. Who should we offer new terms to:

Seriously, I’d like to know if this is impressive, from those who have more than my basic FA coaching badge.
Ancient and the most basic one available, from when I was coaching Will’s team when he was between 8 and 11, before he switched to rugby. It was a (good) requirement of the league, and all 4 of us parents who coached did the course, the other three over several weeks, me over two weekends. I did it with a bunch of people at least 20 years younger than me, all hoping to be able to coach in the summer in the US. As far as I remember there was a lot of child protection, health and safety and basic first aid (where I did my CPR), plus a lot on warm ups and training drills. No tactics or stuff like that. You had to devise your own warm up and run it with the other participants. So I did about ten warm up exercises in quick succession and was knackered.I've no idea either. Maybe Bob will know. I didn't know you had a coaching badge.

One of the players in the team was the son of Lee Carsley, now England U21 coach, then playing for Everton I think. A lovely bloke, came along whenever he could, no hint of criticism, always ‘thanks for letting them enjoy themselves’. Unlike some of the other parents, who didn’t like our policy of rotating players positions, believing that it’s nuts to badge a kid as a right back at age 9.
I think Ball is good back up for Field and as he can play other defensive positions he may well get offered a new contract. But as said he may want more playing time than he is getting with us.Agree with your three definites, would also add Ball into that group too. Ball isn't good enough to be getting much more game time imo. Field has been a huge improvement in that position since he came back. You must have a real hard on for Hendrick. He deserves more time on the pitch in my opinion especially with us in a rut. Came on, out of position, against Blackpool and was superb. **** Hendrick.
