Someone just told me that Eddie Howe is Don Howe's son. That can't be right can it? How come I'd never heard this before?
150/1 to finish in the top 6 14/1 to get relegated. 10pts off top 6, 8pts off bottom 3, statistically 150/1 looks a cracking bet. New manager bounce, and Ainsworth could also come on if required, fill your boots!
BBC Radio London - The London Sport Show, "It's going to be tough but I firmly believe in my own skills"
In February 1987 I was wandering around New Zealand after having seen the Ashes series in Australia. I had no idea this was going on. Some anorak could write an alternative history imagining that FPR came into existence. And has dominated English and European football ever since, from its gigantic merged stadium in Barons Court. Chelsea sank into the Southern League Div 1 in 2002, no longer having a viable fan base. Shame that we weren’t ambitious enough to see this through, eh?
Obviously not a proper fan then if you couldn’t be arsed to fly back thousands of miles at great expense to stop this travesty happening to our club.......I was thinking that at the time......probabaly.
That’s something that large corporations would have done about 20-30 years ago, and it was cringe making back then too. I’ve had to ‘participate’ in dozens of teambuilding exercises over the years, all incredibly forgettable, all brilliant in confirming what I already knew about my team mates, especially the ones I had doubts about. Having said that, if this makes these tossers play better I’m all for it. I would also be for consulting druids, sacrificing small animals, getting Morris dancers round etc etc
When I was at Reuters, I was given a budget of a few hundred quid to take my small team on a teambuilding exercise. I took them all to pub and got them slaughtered. Not the done thing for footballers these days, I suppose.
