How the ups and downs of being a striker can change in one season … https://www.eadt.co.uk/sport/ipswich-town/bonne-leaves-town-after-eventful-year-8981940
I am sure I did.. he played a few minutes in the last match of the season (was it last year or year before) vs WBA...but he cannot have been around the club much in last 6 months...never around the b or U23 teams. A real enigma
He's not going to be the ideal candidate to step into Charlies boots, is he. Championship is probably gonna be a step too far for him, unless the new manager can instill some much needed confidence into his game
He seemed to dip when there was the spat about him coming back (and was he angling for a move to Ipswich, which they have clearly dropped from their end); heard he and his girlfriend also experienced a miscarriage loss as well. Think he definitely needs his confidence building up - another player with promise that needs to be brought out by us and desire for success for him. We need the players to provide the chances for forwards too.
Warnock to be investigated by FA. FA chiefs will investigate explosive claims that Neil Warnock demanded a £6,000 kickback from one of his players. Ex-Portsmouth, Birmingham and QPR ace Rowan Vine alleged Warnock told him he must give him the money if he wanted to play for him at Loftus Road. Jason Puncheon had previously made a similar claim about Warnock... It's amazing he got us promoted really isn't it
Dom Ball on James O'Briens radio show just now talking about the book he's written.... From Winning Teams to Broken Dreams: The story of six friends and their journey to make to the Premier League: Ball, Dominic, Green, Chris, McMahon, Brendan: 9798800637052: Books - Amazon.ca Proceeds from the book go to charity, Sarcoma UK, after one of the friends he writes about died of the disease. Top man.
I have the book and nearly through it. It is a pretty well written account of 6 young boys/ men's journey ( or not) into football. Dom is the most successful of the 6 ( but probably not the most talented)..It is a real eye opener
He came across very well and seems like a top bloke. Shame we let him go. Very badly treated by Warburton.
Dykes has pulled out of Scotlands Nations league games with a quad muscle injury ! He seems to be turning into a sick note, and whenever a Scotland game comes around something crops up. Thank **** they didn't qualify for the World Cup, Beale needs to assess his fitness levels quickly.
Have you heard how Willock's recovery is progressing or not? Last I heard was a possibly dubious rumour that he'd had some kind of setback in his recovery, but never heard if that was confirmed or not. Think he is the player we most need fit and playing for us another season. I thought Dykes had gone off due studs cutting the back of his leg. A quad muscle injury is something else.
