I assumed it was a police thing. Saw on Twitter one of their fans suggested there had been a lot of adults going in on concession tickets but how this helps stop that I don’t know. Very odd and annoying when there’s inevitably people who have a change of plans or decide on the day they fancy it. At worst it should be decided from the start it’s all-ticket rather than a few days before.
Wife and daughter decided they fancied a trip out on the train to Blackburn! However they have had a cough/ cold all week, so could have done with buying on the day, in case they didn't want to bother. Also it saves on the booking fee!
This shouldn’t have made me laugh. Hope they’ve put you in the lower tier. Went a few years ago for a bleak 1-0 loss and we were put upstairs and you might as well be on the moon.
Pete Doherty showing his colours for The Libertines tour... Seeing them in a couple of weeks, don't think I'll be wearing mine though, in case I get stabbed by some Celtic or Rangers ****!
Seeing them with the boy at the Empire in Cov on Wednesday. Heard very good reports of the tour. Apparently the vintage trackie top comes out for the encores.
The Cure's Robert Smith on his relationship with football, and why having a curry with Stan Bowles was "the highlight of my life" (nme.com)
Nice one Smiffy. I’m in a similar boat. Looks like I’ll miss the game on Saturday due to idiotic reasons involving new boiler installation and a mother in law with dementia who is in the process of losing an eye through infection and I’m not that bothered by it (missing the game that is). Portsmouth are one of the proper clubs with a real fan base, one of the more interesting games, but meh, it’s not real anymore.
Sorry to hear that SB, real life has started to creep into my Saturdays. Gone are the days that only football mattered. The beauty of QPR is that we only turn up for the last 6 games anyway. Relax, chill for the next few months, tune in in April and enjoy the show!
