Think I'm getting out of my depth now on this topic. I suppose you can choose to be a Jew though so that's why the race thing maybe doesn't apply so much. Think my ancestors were these Israel Semites that you mention.
Although I can see why people could be confused if they compare Sammy Davis Jnr and Ben Stiller. If I convert to Judaism, do they inject some new genes into me or take some away?
We could be right: I should say that categorizing Jews as a "race" only makes sense if one rejects the idea of "race" as referring to something biologically determinate (which I do). Race is a social construction, and, in many of the ways Jews have been constructed, we've been constructed as racially other. Insofar as to many, labeling Jews as "White" is a way of negating their historical differentiation from the dominant White castes, I am leery of chucking out the idea of race with regards to Jews so quickly. I should note that often non-White Jews still are assumed to be White simply by virtue of their Jewishness, or vice versa -- non-White Jews as presumed to be non-Jewish by virtue of their non-Whiteness. This is another demonstration of how the refusal to deal with Jews on their own terms tends to suppress diverse and heterogeneous Jewish experience. http://dsadevil.blogspot.co.uk/2004/12/are-jews-race.html
It's that choice thing like you say, interesting stuff. As for Uwe Rosler, I bet he isn't the new manager anyway, German that he is or not!
I knew a jew and he was always trying to avoid getting a round in. When somebody said that it was his round he said it was a Sunday and he wasn't allowed to carry money! Somebody said they'd seen him get off the bus (this was before you could have cards). He just acted like it was a fair cop and trudged off to the bar.
Anyone can be Jewish, it's a religion not a race, Hebrews HAVE to be Jews, not Jews have to be Hebrews, the conversion from Atheist/Agnostic to Judaism is considered difficult as you have to follow strict rules, ie learn Hebrew, have a Bar Miztvah, get circumsised, in my opinion if you want to follow Judaism then these rules are tolerable, but you should also follow any belief you wish, without a Rabbi or Preist dictating so
It can't be true if it's not on wiki, google says so. Anyway, has anyone checked his background? His ancestors could be welsh patagonians.
I'll just throw in a bit of philosophy: A cow has four legs but not all four legged beasts are cows. Actually a cow might not have four legs if one was amputated. I like to state the obvious. People wont argue then!
If you were thinking of converting to Judaism, perhaps going to a few conversion ceremonies might be an idea to see if it really is for you. A more shmuck it and see approach often putz it in perspective. Good luck whatever you jews to do.
Actually there are two type of Jews, Liberal (converted by choice) and Orthodox. Orthodox requires the children to be Jewish if the mother is, Liberal Jews follow the same rules but ultimately have the choice to do so.
Can I play the Chaz and Dave classic afterwards, Rabbi, Rabbi you won't stop talking, Bunny jabber Rabbi Rabbi...
Does anyone know the name of the Religion that are really open to beliefs, someone mentioned ages ago, It's not Buddhism by the way
I'd argue Buddhism's more of a philosophy than a religion, but many of the eastern types are open to many beliefs. Hinduism is one that I recall as being more than just tolerant. Also a lot of the pagan beliefs that Christianity absorbed can accommodate others as long as they share the core values. There are few mainstream religions that haven't been tweaked to meet someone's political agenda.

If it was him do you think he may bring Clayton Donaldson back to the KC? He's been getting a few goals over the last couple of seasons, I think he was League two's top scorer when he was at Crewe before moving to Brentford...
