Watch this get taken the wrong way but... What I don't get is homo-sexuality and equality. The argument is that we're all the same, but our sexual preferences differ. Fine so far. Why then have a parade and carnival based purely on sexual preference and encourage kids along? They wouldn't accept it for swingers or S&M or any other sexual preference I can think of, so why for homo-sexuals?
That is so true. This is the basis of almost all of the 'race' accusations you see, someone being offended just because they feel they should, even if it is a perfectly accurate description of them, and just because talking about race is a taboo it becomes a big deal. It's fine to have a go at gingers, fat people, ****s, ugly people and call them what they are but because of some sickening historical events which were race related, you now can't say mention anyone's creed or colour. It makes absolutely no sense. And the stupidest part, as I say all the time, is that racism is so selective. Some weird black 'gangster' people go on about their and others' skin colour obsessively but it isn't racist, almost as if by being black you are excused. You can make whatever joke you like about any religionm as long as it's not Islam. Absolutely anything goes for Judaism, Christainty, Catholicism, whatever, but mention Allah and people are crying "racist". Why does it only apply to certain groups? Allardyce is an ape. Imagine if you said that about a black manager who looked identical to Allardyce. It'd immediately be racist wouldn't it?

very much doubt we're in for this guy. its laughable really that the media keep guessing like this.. "sources tell us its going to be..." "hull city's next manager will be..." when the reality is they haven't got a clue. it was nailed on to be steve bruce a few days ago, they even stopped taking bets on him because they were that sure... then the next morning bruce's agent said its all bollocks and there's been no approach by us. and now, oh look, its Uwe Rosler.. pff.. im sure they'll come full circle soon and say its Billy Davies again..
I guess stuff like that is to promote understanding but it will work the other way too and annoy people, I wouldn't like to have Gay Pride marches outside my house so I understand what you are saying. I'm guessing though that the majority of gays don't participate in stuff like this anyway.
With the internet, everybody is a smart arse. Whether we understand how to use all the information is a different matter.
Can you imagine if heterosexuals went on a march. The homosexuals would complain that they were (a) excluded, or (b) intimidated. I'm sure I could go to (z) if I tried!
Can you have a Jewish gene? The Russians were originally Viking and the Danes are a mongrel breed, so they're very diluted and unlikely to affect British genes to any great extent.

I forget where it was, but firemen were threatened with disciplinary if they didn't attend a promotion event at a gay pride event. They had no issues with homosexuals, but feared a repeat of a previous event where they were repeatedly touched up by attendees. Can you imaging if that had been straight blokes and nurses? Surely 'gay' is the wrong term if it's just a normal relationship as most normal ones are'nt...
