But you have NO evidence that Barca are actually interested in signing Ramsay. You're just basing it on some nonsensical paper rumour from a few years ago. So that's another of your points gone. And when do you think O'Shea moved? The 80s? There was plenty of money around in 2011. Given the 'money around nowadays', the Barca interest, the international appearances and the top club appearances can all be discounted as nonsense... What evidence do you actially have that Ramsay is worth more than £15m? Aside from the fact he simply wears an Arsenal short and therefore immediately qualifies as being top class in the world of afcftw...
@paragraoh 1 - I haven't said Barca are interested in him, A87 put forward the hypothetical that if Barca made an offer he would sell for £15m. That is the point I have been replying to. I don't think Barca are interested in Ramsey and I don't think we will be selling him. So that's not any of my points gone, try to keep up. @line 2 - since 2011 there have been massive increases in the money available to clubs through the huge new TV deals. @paragraph 3 - again my point was that if Barca was in for Ramsey I'd be annoyed if we settled for £15m. You're arguing points I haven't made. And as usual you've chucked in some personal nonsense to make sure you've been ****ish enough in your reply to live up to your reputation As for evidence of why he would fetch a good price you just have to look at the over the top fees paid for home grown players and the plans to increase the home grown quota from 8 to 12 players per team.
Did you just laugh at Ramsey for £15m and then say he would sell for £15m? On the drink this Friday evening?
Ramsey has been awful in CM, but I would keep him around, because he can do a job on the right and if anything happens to Ozil, I also think he can play as an AM, basically he would be our Darren Fletcher, who was a great squad player for United before he got that illness.
Maybe our expectations of Ramsey exceed his actual ability? I sort of expected him to be Cesc's successor, which was an unrealistic benchmark for him. The same goes for Wilshere, injures aside, I think he's not as good as we think he is. We have to accept that English media will always overhype UK based players and almost all of our ones are inferior to our foreign ones. Not one of our UK based players have stood out this season, which is a sad reflection of their true ability. Other than Ramseys one stand out season, he has had two average back to back seasons and Wilshere and OXO have yet to have one....
