It's madness to get rid after one game regardless who the manager is. This is his team now and he should be judged on how it does. I don't honestly think last season should be relevant in how he's judged. Plenty of bad apples and a completely disjointed squad which a far more experienced manager failed miserably with.
I do think some people do want to see him fail if only to be able to turn around and give it "told you so".

If we got rid of Hughes and got a different manager, (not Redknapp), after the Swansea 5-0 drubbing then you never know what would have happened that season. Getting rid of a manager cant be dismissed out of hand (although my personal opinion was never to get rid of Ramsey after one game) .

I don't believe anyone wants Ramsey to fail. If he does fail again after last years failure then some people might feel vindicated in their initial assessment of him. And if he does fail again then they have a good case for saying they were right

But if he doesn't fail and he succeed's then they also win.

I reckon it just irritates you that for those people who irritated you so much they are in a win win situation (of sorts)

You're totally deluded to think anyone could have kept us up. Our defence was barely Championship quality, that was the deciding factor and no amount of 'coaching' or anything else would have made an iota of difference, we finished exactly where we belonged and anyone who saw most of our matches last season knew we were done for by New Year...

Assume you believe in fate, star signs and an omnipotent being up stairs who decides we cant win points off of Hull or Leicester. That forced Ramsey to play Henry on the left wing against West Ham, forced him to play Furlong who isn't yet more than League one standard in his home debut against Alexis Sanchez and then again made him play and get torn to shreds by Bolasie despite the protection and attacking threat offered in front of him by SWP.

Ignoring defeats against Liverpool, City, Chelsea, Spurs and Southampton where points were up for grabs. He cost us in losses against Palace, Hull, Everton and his negativity meant we only managed a point against West Ham.

Harsh.

We'd have got points vs Chelsea, Liverpool and Southampton if it weren't for last minute goals. Draws in all of these games wouldn't have been terrible results. We could've possibly beaten Spurs if certain things had gone our way (2 pens, Charlie hitting the bar, Green's mistake). All things CR couldn't do anything about.

If Joey hadn't been sent off, I reckon we'd have got at least a draw Vs Hull. The Everton game was ridiculous. They had 2 attacks and scored twice. Hoilett and Taarabt hit the bar. On another day we'd have won. Although he set up wrong Vs West Ham, we still could've easily won considering Charlie missed a pen and Dunne had a fair goal ruled out.

Which ever way you spin it, he made big mistakes that cost us vital points, last year. Even the Barton red you pick out as an example of bad luck outisde his control was in the scuffle that followed what possibly was about to be a red for Furlong on his debut after a crazy dangerous lunge.

A manager is cuplable for the results and this year hopefully he'll be the beneficiary of luck more than the loser. This has already been the case. 2-0 down against Wolves and looking like it would be 5 or 6. They miss a couple of good chances and then their keeper let's in a couple he should of saved. Then after letting Rotheram get back to 3-2 we get a dodgy penalty.

Those games will hopefully be looked back on in the same way Derby away and Reading away were looked on in the previous league winning season

And, as they say, 'if me auntie had bollox she'd be me uncle'. Even in the games we picked up points in we were flying by the seat of our pants, only the wins against Sunderland, West Brom and Newcastle did we really play reasonably well and that was more to do with the opposition being shyte on the day. If Charlie had scored the penalty against the Hammers, if Green had kicked into Chelsea's half, if all the times we hit the woodwork etc etc. Say if enough and we could have won the title...<doh>

And I'm not condoning Ramsey for last season but it wasn't his team and he didn't impress me much but I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt to show what his team can do, it's a work in progress and given the big guns have stayed I expect us to be in the top six throughout...

You know your struggling to support you're case when you chuck in that emoji un justifiably

You say your self you can't 'condone Ramsey' for last season.

So you agree with me, he could have done better. Because of the widely accepted under-performance many weren't happy with him last year and some wanted him out the club early enough to limit any further damage.

This year lucks also on his side, cat flap keepers, handball assists, and dodgy penalties helping us get results and everyone's positive

So exactly same as you, everyone is giving him benefit of any doubt they had after last season and the first 120 mins of this season

It was also quite unlucky that some no-mark full-back scored the goal of his life in the 90th minute to cost us two points against Cardiff just to add some balance.

Was the penalty dodgy? I expected it to be given from where I was sitting and had a good view of it. Either way, we were 3-2 up at the time.

I just want to make it clear that I didn't like the manner of his appointment

We swallowed the 'dream manager' tewwet then saw an internal coach who was mates with Les get the job. Ramsey HAS to 'win' us/me over before I will drool over his performances.

That said Matt, and Charlie & Chery won it for him or do you think it was his tactical substitution that won it?

Win and we won't mind, Until he win us silverware or promotion followed by survival I will still feel conned. Nothing against the man himself, Tony Fernandes undermined him and us, and I can't be seen to approve of that. Again.

So he has to get us up then keep us up to stop you feeling conned. Jeez!

"Give the bloke a chance and support him
hes got his team now see how he goes
good on him"
Well said Gold Coast. We should be giving him a chance.
Hopefully we have got rid of a lot of expensive players who do not always appear that they want to be here but like the pay cheque have long since gone
