Definitely pleased Ramsey has been given more time. He's just got the best performance out of the team this year. That alone warrants an opportunity to show what else he can do. The problem will come if Ramsey keeps us up, in style, then come the end of the season, do we replace him, or let him continue his good work. A dilemma I hope we have to deal with!
Good, and best of luck Chris. The only sensible option, though if he helps to keep us up how can he be replaced in the summer? I hope somebody else can run the reserve and academy teams for him for a bit though.
Best solution all round. No more speculation, players settled, coaching team settled. Just a small matter now of being in the right place in the PL. Looking forward to some great football in the next few months.
Warbarton is out of contract at Brentford the end of this season. With all the comments thrown out there this week from the Brentford board my money is on Warbarton being our new head coach.
IF, repeat IF, we lose at Hull, hope those in favour now of CR will still be in favour of him after that game. Sincerely hope so. Hypothetical I know, but it sort of ties in with the thread about fickle fans.
Whilst I am happy with this appointment, I find myself wondering whether Laudrup was the 'dream manager' Fernandes was referring to and his distancing himself from the job yesterday prompted this move.
No problem with any of that... except the wording "at least" - this basically means that any appointment of the "dream manager" is down to us being in this division at the end of the season. If we stay up, then it'll be harsh on Ramsey. At least the man seems completely committed to the club despite being a consolation prize whereas we might not be our dream manager's dream club.
I honestly think the Laudrup thing has been a piece of fiction plucked from the sky. There was nothing leading towards him wanting to come to us other than the bookies lowering their odds. Chances are some people put a decent bet on and that caused the drop in the market. There was nothing to that rumour ever.
Its' only been 2 games, Ramsey has performed miracles in that time but it is still only 2 games. Obviously he has my backing (for what it's worth) until the end of season and if he manages to keeps us up...well, it would take a brave man to replace him. Concentrate on the now, speculation will only cause drama.
Congrats Chris, keep up the good work. He's "head of player development" and will remain in that role if another manager gets the job ahead of him in the summer. Big asset for the club and a win/win situation imo.
This from Norway all day long. Lets be realistic we don't know what division we will be in so appointing CR until at least end of season is a win/win. Only problem will be is if CR not only keeps us up but we play well. Then TF will need to think about his comments. rrrrrrs is right in that TF needs to keep his comments quiet because they actually cause too much unnecessary rumours and gossip. However i am really glad we didn't get in Sherwood because i could see that being a complete disaster. Really happy for Ramsey
If and I hope he does, gets us playing well, we stay up, then CR would get my vote to stay on next season
I like him as He could be exactly the man to restore our image Tony Crooks really doesn't learn does he? … If we do go down I think he could bail
He actually seems like quite an intelligent guy in his interview. Harry never seemed intelligent. There was something quite childlike about Harry.
