Im worried that all the sh*** of the comings and going will take over pre season and as usual we will be under prepared regardless of the decision now. In an area that CR and lets face it Sir Les are not experienced in...............

Fully behind this appointment. Good timing as we have the whole summer to plan. Need to get a good backroom staff now. Post on offy implies changes.

Firstly, Good Luck Chris, Congratulations. You have a difficult job ahead of you but this is one instance where the "Board being fully behind you" is actually true.

I am prepared to sit in the Championship for a few seasons if the Club is really going in the right direction.

It appears there is substantial support from the players too. (Albeit, there are very few I would want to keep)

I feel somewhat relaxed about the whole thing really. It feels like the right thing to do to have a more frugal and realistic plan in place. Solid, steady growth please, with continuity as a core belief of how to build for the future.

I am looking forward to next season, not dreading it.

    That is all.

The expected decision and one that I feel is the right one. Looking forward to next season already. The bad eggs will be outed quickly, CR might seem like a nice bloke, but I am sure he can and will be ruthless when necessary, i. e. NOW!

If you mean you like him, I do to. Not sure it helps but he seems to be liked by the players which is a big big plus.

I think this is the right move for the club at this time. We are going to be relying a lot on the younger players in the near future and Ramsey is proven at developing youngsters. Hopefully some shrewd recruitment from lower leagues and one or two loans from the Premier will give us a squad capable of avoiding further relegation, which is about all we should expect next season - mid-table would be a good performance imo. A gradual development over the next couple of seasons could then see us challenge for promotion again.

Ah CmOn. We got to aim for more than that. If that is the message the playing staff get from Management we will be dropping to League 1 in a year's time.

Don't think he's the dream manager - but thats Tony fault. Can he do any worse than Melty or Spacky Hughes?

The lack of potential candidates probably makes this an easier appointment than it probably should be. Who else is there? Big Sam is proven, but the spectre of Megson and Lambert loom large.

One season in the championship - although he did very well.

Doesn't want to work with the DOF setup though - which is what we have here

Of course the club can aim higher, Oslo, but we as supporters shouldn't expect more. This is not like when we got relegated under Redknapp. He retained most of the Premier squad and still told us we would do well to avoid a further relegation. The inevitable, and necessary, clear-out this summer will leave us relying heavily on young players. I think Ramsey could develop these youngsters to challenge for promotion in two or three years, but to expect more next season would be unreasonable imo.

Good luck to him - I'm sure he'll need it. Next season look likely to be transitional as we say goodbye to some rather expensive planks of deadwood, try to flog a few of our saleable assets and start to build the young team we've all yearned for.

I don't think he's the dreamboat TF got over excited about but I do think he has potential to be good for the development side of the club - lets just hope that he learns fast enough and has the opportunity to nurture and build a balanced squad that can do some damage in the Championship...onwards and upwards (though maybe with a bit of downwards for a bit)...

Well after a time sorting out Watford’s academy one of the best around (and a place with happy memories for me) after smashing UCL pretty much every time I played there during university football.

He then became Brentfords Sporting Director and got hat club in shape turned down Uwe Rosler to follow him to Wigan and took Brentford to promotion out of League One. Then with a team favourites to get relegated he got the to the playoffs.

So one season in the championship I am sure you will admit is a bit of an understatement

Oh on a separate note- for those saying “oh how fecking brilliant, lets sort out the youth system”. That takes absolutely ****ing ages and the pinnacle of that is an FA youth cup winning side. Fulham did that last season and look how hat worked out for them in the Championship!!!!!

Thanks for enlightening us on those aspects of his career path, which I was unaware of. Obviously more than just a one-shot wonder, but considering our current management structure, likely not the right choice for the job at hand here.

People like you seem to think we are the only team with a youth side.

What makes you think that our youngsters scraping along at their low level standard are any better than any of the other clubs. Many of whom comfortably tonk our youth team without a second thought.

Another poor decision IMO, I genuinely hope I'm wrong and he comes good but I can't see the logic in this, Ramsey has done nothing in his time in charge to show he has what it takes. I've seen people saying he is a great motivator, however when you see the players in the tunnel before the city game they looked like they couldn't care less, Ramsey should have had them fired up and chomping at the bit! That said, he is now in charge and I'll get behind him and the team till he proves us right or wrong!

Young manager, who knows the squad and has already shown a willingness to give youngsters a chance. My only question will be how he deals with the big names, as he is relatively inexperienced in management. Would be worried that some of the big names might end up with more of a say in the dressing room. However, that said, I think he's the right man, and hope he will grow in stature as he grows into the role. Either way, next year I look forward to watching Ramsey's blue and white army, and see where he will take us!

We cannot rely heavily on young players. Les and Ramsey are going to have to get the right balance of experience and youngsters, and talent and graft to keep us in the top half of the Championship, which I think we should expect. The total clear out some talk about isn't going to work, (remember Hughes), and while some new players will have to come in they can't all be youngsters. We don't have any youngsters to rely on now, just 2 or 3 that maybe good enough in some games with some experienced players alongside them.

Easy answer to that, get rid of the 'big names' starting with Barton, or make it very clear to them that playing for QPR in the Championship does not qualify anyone for 'big name' status, which is why they shouldn't earn much money (comparatively).
