Rolling Stone magazine rated them as the 2nd most influential band ever - topped only by The Beatles. About right in my view. I could name a hundred "Ramonescore" bands - some better than others - but all sharing the same philosophy:

- no pretence
- simple, catchy, singalong tunes
- fast guitars and drums
- songs about girls, surfing and mental health
 
Rolling Stone also said London Calling by the Clash was the best album of the 80s.

Even though it was released in 1979.

so the hyne is of course blitzkrieg bop. and that's why i would also say that it is my favorite song of them, but for example pet cemetary is also very cool. and a rather unknown song called sniff some glue is also very wicked
