Does anybody know what the deal is with this fella?

Only reason I'm asking is, he's been absolutely sensational at Porto for the last two seasons, and he set the Europa League on fire this last year. I massively rate him.

I haven't seen/heard/read much about the big European clubs coming in for him though, which is strange for a player of his quality. Think about people like Hazard, Lukaku, Sanchez, and all the Euro clubs have been linked with them at some point. I know he was briefly linked with Arsenal and Real but there's not the substantial chat that there usually is around real targets, you know when the rumours keep cropping up...?

If nobody is raring to get him - cheeky bid?! Him alongside Gyan would be incredible, and he'd replace DB's goals, I'm sure of it. He'd definitely cost us the full £24m we got from Villa but Brucey and Quinn have both said we'll have to break the record for that quality striker...

I know it's just wishful thinking but if none of the clubs playing European football are after him, he might see a move to the EPL as a step up? If not the Big 6, then we've got as good a case as the Mags, Villa, Everton etc...!

Plus I signed him on Fifa so you know it's possible.
 
There was some talk earlier in the week about a few clubs after him, can't remeber who but there's definite interest.

Reckon he would cost a fortune, and how good without his team-mate hulk i don't know.

Lots of ifs n buts about him.

But would i like us to sign him? To right, he's been fantastic, but in a fantastic team.
 
Falcao is a great player and can play for the top teams in europe IMO

at Porto he gets good service mind they have some quality players Moutinho, Guarin, Hulk, Perreira, Otamendi, Fernando I could go on

would never come to us
 
IMO, he would be a huge and expensive flop at SAFC.

he isnt going to come here, roll up his sleeves and graft his chuffer off up front as we require. He'd look lazy and uninterested and will think he is destined for a Man Utd/Chelsea or Man City and would resent being with us.

These sorts of players would have been targets had we qualified for Europe as that would be an attraction to that sort of player but not FA Cup and League Cup. Thats why I was extremely pissed off with SB last term, as we missed the boat massivley to get into that top 6 or 7.

We may not get another chance with Villa, Liverpool and Everton unlikely to have as many injuries or loss of form.
