THIS <ok> FMA is far to shrewd/cheap (delete as you like) to just decide to expand the stadium, they will be going over the numbers obsessively and if they think they can make a buck or two out of it, it will happen if not then it wont

Surely it would only be viable if the economy was healthy and you were regularly playing Champions League football.

52k is perfect for us as we are now. Attendances have been 45k-50k over the last few seasons. As much as I'd love to see an even bigger SJP I don't think we need it right now. Only if we perform at a consistant top6/8 level would it be worth considering.

I'm pretty much repeating what people have already said so I'll differentiate my post by saying that dairy lea and hot chilli sauce go quite well together in a sarnie. <ok>

  8. This would only be worth it if we got into Europe and people felt tickets were worth the money.

IMO, the reason we don't sell out as much as we did, is because the prices of our tickets are ****ing abysmal. When we were in the CL I would say the tickets were the right price, but the fact that season tickets cost around 450 quid for a standard seat in the gallowgate end, while we were in the championship, was disagraceful.

The club continually charged CL prices for tickets even when we were doing ****, got relegated and were in the Championship. At the end of the day, a lot of people have a personal sense of worth, and 500 quid is a lot of money for a season ticket, which a lot of people think is too expensive for where we have been for the last 4 years or so.

A standard season ticket for a child at our club is the season ticket price for an adult at most other clubs. We were still one of the highest charging clubs, even while in the CC.

What we should do is lower prices a bit, get more people in, and overall there'll be an increase in profit.

If we achieve European qualification, and maintain that status for a few years, then we should think about raising ticket prices back to it's usual price and expanding the stadium.

Why, all you need do is stick some seats in the trophy room. Plenty space in there :)

But they won't be able to see the game. Probably a good idea at the SoS then...
