If I was BR I'd demand £40 million and Dzeko.

Sterling booed by Liverpool supporters when collecting his Young Player of the Year award.
Fan kicks Sterlings car as he drove away from training ground

Sterlings mobile number leaked on the internet where fans are urged to inundate him with abusive calls and txts, which they did.

    Meanwhile on Twitter
Sterling receives racist tweets e.g. @BurlingtonBert: “Raheem Sterling is very replaceable. There are plenty of black kids in London with chips on their shoulders.”

...and then there's the old dogs
"He's starting to get a reputation that could be hard to rid himself of in the future" old dog Carragher
"Are Man City fans looking at the situation and thinking this could be us in a few years?" Old dog Carragher bites again
"If he's privately making it known he wants to leave then that word soon gets out and supporters are entitled to turn on him" old dog Graeme Souness
"Just maybe someone should whisper in his ear and tell him he is not going anywhere" that old dog again Souness
“Sterling is doing LFC a favour by staying away...You don’t want that kind of attitude anywhere near a dressing room” old dog Jim Beglin

Through all of this abuse Liverpool has remained silent and have decided not even to condemn the racist attacks made on Sterling by Liverpool Fans.

The abuse Sterling is taking on behalf of Liverpool Football Club is bordering on criminal. Sterling, a 19yo boy, is being openly attacked in the media, via the internet, via his mobile phone, even his car is being attacked yet all the while the creaking behemoth that is Liverpool Football Club, say nothing and do even less to stop the abuse of this lad.

Liverpool Football Club have not publicly condemn the Racist abuse aimed at Sterling by its fans. This silence speaks loudly though and is tantamount to approval. Liverpool Football Club has not distanced itself from its racist supporters or condemned the racist abuse, or any abuse for that matter. They've stayed silent yet are shouting to their racist fans that it is acceptable for them to attack Raheem Sterling by whatever means suits them.

Sterling, a 19yo boy, has not at any time said anything bad about Liverpool football club, its players or management to any press, media, blog, web site or tweeted such.

So what has he done to deserve all of this? All he has done is ask for a transfer and following that request Liverpool Football Club has sat fat and watched as the press and media has gone all out to assassinated the character, reputation and name of this boy in some kind of power crazed feeding frenzy.

Liverpool have no right to call themselves a big club and they have no right to mention the great names of Shankly, Paisley Dalglish etc as being part of the club. Those bridges are burned now as we see Liverpool for what it is, a Dinosaur of a club synonymous with Corporate America, collapse and decay and nothing at all to do with the Mighty Liverpool we all cheered to countless premier and European titles. That was the Mighty Liverpool, all we have now is a grubby club creaking and crumbling as it gets smaller by the day.

Why should Liverpool sell him unless their valuation is met? He's THEIR player and has another 2 years left on his contract.
Players now have far too much power and I for one hope Liverpool squeeze every penny out of Man City and if they don't meet Kiverpools demands, BR should make this jumped up, arrogant little twerp rot for the next two years.

    Not saying they should Valley

What I dont like, and nor should anyone, is the way Liverpool are going about not selling him.

Their abject failure to condemn their fans for their racist remarks basically sanctions their fans actions and racism and abuse in general.

On top of this Liverpool has allowed its old dogs to abuse their positions in the media to tow the party line with biased, one sided opinion on Sterlings character and name. They do this unchallenged in the red tops and on sky with out recource or ballance.

Trial by media, we used to call them kangaroo courts remember, is what we are witnessing here valley and your description of Liverpools top scorer last season just shows you've fallen hook line and sinker for a one sided biased argument based on acusation and inuendo, nothing else.

Has Sterling said anything bad about Liverpool no, its management, no, its fans no. All Sterling has done, irrespective of whether you agree with it or not Valley, is ask for a transfer. Somehow thats incited you into calling him a jumped up, arrogant little twerp and you go on to suggest he rot for the next two years, on the bench.

Well developed argument you got going thee valley. Incisive, to the point and shows you up a treat mate <ok>

Of course he's arrogant. He signed a contract with Liverpool. He's refusing to go on tour with the club who in effect own him, they do not have to sell him. He should be a professional and get on with the job he's paid to do until Liverpools evaluation is met and not whine and hiss through his agent in the media. Tell me, why should they reign the likes of Carragher in while he's using his agent and the media etc to air his views. I yavent read or heard Sterling telling his agent to keep quiet? You say trial by media, why then didn't Sterling keep his mouth shut instead of doing that interview with the BBC? He's the one who made this a public battleground, and he's now being shown up for what he is.
Had Bony acted in a similar way this time last year we would have crucified him.

Another indicator that Liverpool are no longer the club they once were?

This is why the need to win this battle and refuse to sell unless their demands are met otherwise they'll fall into the selling club category.

    Valley

His agent is responding to what's been said already in the press and he is only responding in papers that will publish his response. The old dogs, of which there are many, are using red tops, broadsheets, Sky sports, Talk Sport the list goes on, not to debate the situation or to suggest any agreeable resolutions but to assassinate the name and character of a kid.

Irrespective of Sterlings idiosyncrasies this should not be allowed to happen.

Who was Liverpools top scorer last year. I think Sterling was up there yet he is one of the lowest earners in the squad. Our very own Taylor earns more than he does. He burst on the scene and showed himself into an England shirt yet Liverpool only offered him a new contract after asked to be transferred.

Liverpools mistake was to not believe his reasons so they did as they always do and grudgingly threw some cash at him

Problem is that this time cash wouldn't solve the issue as the player meant what he said and was not angling for more money. Doesn't sound like a spoiled individual to me.

If I was Sterling, I'd take my money for two years and be such a pain that they'd have to let me go.

This imo, has little to do with Sterling but is a delayed response to losing Suarez. Liverpool are still seething because they were so passive with Suarez. Lets face it Suarez could have bitten the head of a kitten on the half way line during a live game and Liverpool still would have bent over to be shafted by him.

They tried to keep him by offering him the world and he said he didn't want to stay so he went. What's the difference with Sterling, you tell me.

Regarding Bony your missing my point Valley. I totally agree, we wouldn't be happy and we'd let him know it but, back to my point, if we started kicking his car or abusing him by phone or tweeted racist remarks about him, don't you think that Jenkins would come out to condemn such actions, sure he would. What would you say if it was QPR and not Liverpool who didn't come our and condemn racist remarks made by their fans. I recall too a recent post decrying FIFA for not fining heavily enough an Eastern European club for Racist behaviour.

Football is played on the world stage and clubs have a duty of care to its patrons, ignoring someone being racially abused by your own fans is not displaying a duty of anything but is in effect condoning it.

Liverpool have not looked after the lad, and it's gone sour, the old rear guard should never have said what they did in the media, including TV commentary on the lad...... <ok>

PS: One old boot has the letter S at the start of his name!!

Wasn't he offered £100k a week, or £5.2m a year to play at Liverpool ? Don't you think that is enough for a 20 year old who's had one season in the premier league?

What is needed is a reality check more than anything else, the guy is just a kid, and is certainly acting like one, as for Liverpool and their ex players, they seem to be using the press and their connections to brow beat this kid.

as opposed to these words ,
“When my agent mentioned it to me I said ‘when can we get it signed?’
“It’s an honour and privilege to sign for another four years at Swansea City and give the fans back the support they’ve shown in me.
now that's how to conduct yourself albeit in our Clubs favour

........................And today, after more slagging off in the red tops, old dogs Steven 'Prancing Pony' Gerrard and Micky 'the mouth' Quinn continue the attack. They have weighed into Sterling on talksport yet again, slagging him off even more. No surprise that there are still zero reports from Sterlings camp offering an alternative view for us to ballance our opinions, just more 'Sterlings got to man up' bullsh1t.

What ALL reports are failing to say is the TRUTH. Sterling has never asked for more money nor an improved contract, that's why he rejected the offer made. Ask yourselves why Liverpool made the size of the offer public? we wouldn't have, probably so they could use it to besmitch Sterling and say, as they originaly did, that he wanted a bigger deal, which Sterling never has.

Irrespective of all the names he's been called, all he is guilty of is he daring to wna to leave Anfield.

Anyone would swear Sterling had killed someone, newsflash, he hasn't all he has done is as to leave a frightened, insecure club.

    Liverpool, big club? my arse

This is Sterlings unapproved interview every one is spewing about.

    What an evil basterd

old dog woofs for Liverpool, what pressure is he talking about. The lying cnut gobbing off on national TV, any interview with Sterling or his agent on Sky TV - Nope

If it should ever go to a tribunal then Liverpool will be lucky to get 20m let alone 50m......Its at a stage now that Stirling is adamant he wont play for Brendan under any circumstances and the players union are on the brink of stepping in, Liverpool cannot afford to leave Stirling at home without it being resolved and someone will have to back down and it wont be Stirling.......

He is a bag of potential for any top 4 team, and if I was in his shoes, why would I want to stay at Liverpool? Their Trophy days are over and Sterling knows it, hope he gets the move he wants, as the way that pool and their fat brigade fans have treated him is disgraceful......... <ok>

PS: Souness is the one that surprised and shocked me though.

    Sorry disagree gents.

He was happy to accept his current contract and the millions this was thrown at him. Just looks like a petulant child, oh I'm sick as IF. He's employed by Liverpool FC end off and is required to work, where his sick note then!!!

Just another overrated pampered twat!!! This is the part of football that I despise, he should take a good hard look at himself and see what Fabian Delph has done, now that is a refreshing change.
