His agent as $$$ in his eyes and they are fishing imo. After this season how could he expect to go to Real, not gonna happen, if he wants he can go to City IF they offer a deal, but we just have to say no, and after the whole Suarez affair it is pretty clear FSG will not be held over a barrel by players.

Suarez was told to shut up and play, and he did, Suarez has John henry to thank for his CL win, cos if he went to the emirates he wouldn't have that winners medal <ok>

Meh, he still ended up winning a CL winners medal with Barca tonight though.

It's a shame, but I think player/agent power has become too strong and whilst a club can make a stand, ultimately if a player wants to go there's not much the club can do in the long term.

Sorry mate I couldn't resist the last line :D

You're right though, and if more owners did what Henry did with Suarez we wouldn't have such a problem with players having the power. Contracts are binding, if Henry says Sterling stays, he stays

Yeah but for how long ? Suarez wanted out and ultimately there was **** all LIverpool could do. Sterling looks like he's heading down the same route. Frustrating as **** for you lot I agree. But if he wants out, then there's not much you can really do about that other than demand top dollar for whoever is prepared to pay it. One thing is for sure, Arsenal aren't going to be making a £ +1 bid for him. <laugh>
