Interesting stuff - thanks for posting. The most important thing, of course, is we're ahead of Belgium - the nation whose only claims to fame are giving the world chocolate and *****phile rings.

It's never been the same since the untimely murder of The Princess Of Hearts.

    God bless.

If I could go back to any point of my life it would most definitely be that week. I work in Westminster and I have never really felt I was as offensive to people mourning the death of some posh brass they'd never met as I'd like to have been. Would be good to put the record straight.

I was in Prague the day after and you should have seen the floral tributes.

Enough to bring a tear to a glass eye actually.

The Monarchy receive 15% of the crown estates yearly income. With ptoperty prices in London going through the roof her maj has never been so flush.

    Also.

The dosh the monarchy receives Iis a retained matter. Westmonster decides. Holyrood has no say in the matter. The **** released by the palace was nothing more than a **** stir. Or mibbe it was an honest mistake.

I nearly got smacked in the local paper shop over that. Some mopey bird was saying "oh it doesn't seem real - it's so awful" I said "yeah - can you belive they cancelled a game because some nonentity died in a car crash". Had to be done.

Did you not say the crown estates didnt belong to the monarch?

I fear your arithmetic maybe a bit wonky.

The individual doesn't own it personally but the Crown does and in her capacity as Monarch she has access to the Crown Estates. The Civil List was abolished in 2012 though and replaced with the Sovereign Support Grant.

What a complete an utter spastic.

Which "civilised" countries do you mean? North Korea? Russia? China? The various tyrannical despot hell holes throughout the world?

The most civilised place in the world is still Europe and you get more monarchies here than anywhere else.

Stick to making a **** of yourself, Russ. I might hang around here more often.

But most civilised nations like Zimbabwe, Serbia, Peru and Myanmar don't have monarchies and they're a beacon of light to us stoopid Brits and our 500 years of virtual prosperity and stable governance.

Well, I'm actually in favour of elective constitutional monarchy where the monarch has some executive power in a non-partisan system with no political parties. At the moment, I'm satisfied with hereditary constitutional monarchy but I would like to see the other 'minor' royals cut off completely.
