Oh come on - You are quoting a Chelsea supporter of many a year, that's not fair to denegrate their opinions by merely stating your expletives.
I have long since held the view that this period for both Chelsea and Maureen would not likely be the most profitable. Mou made some intrinsic mistakes from the start which to be frank were predicted (please check my consistency to this).

I still dont get what Project was required -

Courtois should have been forced back
Azipicuelta is a right back and should play right back
Ivanovic is a Central defender - Cahill/Luiz - OK back up
Cole is a left back - Bertrand not up to it, could and should have bought a left back
Mikkel - Special mention as he should have been bombed out with Malouda and Kalou - Not up to it in any shape or form
Essien - Should have gone
Lampard - He is no holding midfielder and should not be playing as many games
Ramires - OK as a defensive mid
The current front 3 - Should never be there (how could he have got rid of Lukaku!!!)

So, nothing has changed from end of last Season -
It was patently obvious you needed some Defensive Mids -Luiz could and should be easily one of those
You needed a central defender as Terry was doubtful for Season - he has to take credit for Terry's rejuvenation
You needed a left back and you could have done with some width and a decent forward.

What did you get? - A whole host of players competing with the 3 amigos!!!!

All this "we need time", "I have inherited a squad that needs big changes" is absolute bull.
I repeat as I repeated then - You will contest for everything, hell every single one of your managers has under Abramovich because you have an excellent core of playing staff. Remember Avram Grant???

Your football is generally poor and you win many matches becasue of your 3 amigos (whomever is playing), the rest could have just been so much better if he had simply taken a look at what he had instead of just spouting his usual crap from the off.

This will all end in tears.

Not really... When Jose first came to the club he got some class and fairly young players. He had a young Cech, Terry, Lamps, Drogba, A.Cole, J.Cole, Robben, Duff, a solid Makalele, Carvalho, Eidur etc... They were all coming into their prime or in their prime and that was perfect. And thus we won 2 league titles under him and other cups...

Now we have Cech in goal who is now not as good as our star in Spain, a back four whereby Cole is reaching his end... As is Terry... Ivanovic is playing really poorly and Luiz is being extremely reckless plus his defending has been all over the shot.

In midfield Lamps is reaching the end, Essien should have gone ages ago, Van Ginkel who is injured, Mikel who is actually playing alright this season and Ramires who on his day is class. We have the '3 amigos' and then Schurrle and Willian to rival them so that doesn't need touching. Our attack... Well... Neither of the 3 we have are good enough.

So you can see that changes are needed. Previously we had AVB who got some good players but his tactics and the way to use the players was terrible and Rafa.. who knew he would only be at the club for a certain period of time and so he didn't plan for the future in any way. Thus when Jose pikced up the squad, a lot of changes had to be made. I agree that we needed strengthening in other areas than in the '3 amigo' department but now we have 5 class ones all fighting it out and that will see us through for about 8-10 years. Now we focus on other areas and this is why NOW Jose needs the time. We'll get back Lukaku and sign one other striker which Jose knows he can work with... In midfield we'll ship out the dead wood and bring in some fresh new talent plus we have some great youngsters coming through. And in defense we need replacements for Cole, Terry and probably Ivanovic. In goal we have Courtois who will be number 1 for a long time to come.

So in all if we ship out the strikers bar Lukaku and the dead wood in attack, defense and midfield while bringing in fresh new talent in those areas which we haven't really focused on for a while, then we're cruising. Plus with a manager like Jose who will figure out the right tactic with the new players, we're laughing tbh!

We're in for Guarin of Inter who would steady up the midfield.. In for Lewandowski who is world class plus we want Ross Barkley and Luke Shaw. Already those 4 signings improve our side massively. So I have no idea why you think it will 'end in tears' when really the future has potential to be very bright indeed.

No mate my comment wasn't aimed at you in any way so sorry if it came across as if it did!

I'm just fed up of us sacking 2 managers every year! I couldn't give a hoot if it was Jose or another world class manager but with us having some fans saying 'Jose Out' after 4 months... I despair I really do... Not with anyone on this board though!

Phew, glad to hear that Bucks, I know you are up there with our most committed fans and always want whats best for CFC. Like you, I think several of our sacked managers could have been very successful without the hair trigger shotgun pointed at them. We desperately need a year or two of consolidation, to build a team around a core of players with the subs as good as the starters.Adding a player or 2 each year sure beats rebuilding.
My Jose problem is simply that he seems more worried about his personal records and popularity than he should. He also needs to take his share of the hits, like the team and players during the rebuilding phase. If it means losing a game or two while trying new things ,so be it. This time around he seems tetchy and stubborn. Wish he would just chill out, better times are just around the corner .
