Fantastic interview and if he cannot get a reaction out of this squad, nobody can. I also suspect that injuries will lessen and those who do get knocks etc will return quicker. Why? Because they will want to play for this guy, they will want to be part of the future this guy could bring, and hopefully they will soon get to learn that if you don't deserve to be on the pitch, it isn't going to matter how important you think you are. Rafa will be bigger than the ego's and prima donnas. He will also ship em out and they know it. Please, please, please, let us stay up so we can become a proper football club again. I had forgotten what it's like to look forward to the next match, please let this feeling last a while longer, pretty please.
Seems like some of those written off or unable to return from injury any time soon, are now up and running around the training ground like spring chickens. I suspected this would happen, long live the Rafa effect.
That bit where he says there were players who turned up for training with him yesterday that had been on the physio`s bed. He didnt know till after, that they were supposed to be injured!!! That just speaks volumes with regards to how McClaren had lost the dressing room. Love to which of the lazy skivers he was referring too.!!
Well the good thing is that everyone gets a clean sheet, so some of the forgotten men, like Marveaux, Obertan, DeJong, will all be back in contention if they deserve to be. I know DeJong had an eye injury, but l do sometimes wonder if these players are wrapped in cotton wool too much. I had detached retinas in both eyes which required three lots of surgery and was back at work within a month. I don't play a contact sport for a living, but you have to wonder? If some of these lay offs are just a tad too convenient when the going gets tough.
Eye surgery is no laughing matter, but that was quite witty so l shall forgive you. Tell you what, it takes some bottle to lie there whilst a consultant sticks a hypodermic needle in your eye ball. Now your gonna complain l have put you off your tea lol
This is the first time in a good long while that I have watched a Newcastle manager and not wanted to punch him. I though it was spot on and set a really good tone. Also it's amazing that someone at his level is enthusiastic to take our ****-show on right now.
I'm only picking on you as I'm sulking that we haven't had the next installment of "How I came to play football"
Oops slinks off sharpish, looking sheepish. Go a bit sidetracked with all the excitement recently. I Sir, stand corrected .
I blame No Chance. I was in the middle of my tea when I was reading this !!! Notice that WAS is underlined!!
i hope he can keep us up . .cause it could be good times ahead ..change in policy great experience aswell ..fingers crossed
