So the last game of Rafa's spell is almost over and many Chelsea fans will be happy as larry, some thankfully have finally warmed to the man who has been called 'Fat Spanish Waiter' by many throughout his time at the Bridge.

Well after a slow start Rafa will leave with his head firmly held high..... and so he should; here are a few reasons why

Overall P47 W27 D10 L10 W/P 57% beat Everton and 58%

His record pre-Middlesboro which many see as the turning point was;

P27 W14 D7 L6 W/P 52%

Post- Middlesboro

P20 W13 D3 L4 W/P 65% - beat Everton it will be 67%

To put that in to context in the same period since the Midds game

Fergie P13 W 6 D3 L4 W/P 46%
Mancini P12 W8 D1 L3 W/P 67%

Career overalls

Fergie (Man U) 60%
Mourinho (Chels) 67%
Hiddink (Chels) 72%

Considering the context of the season and that in those games since Midds have all largely been must win games that is a great record...... when you add in the fatigue and that 5 of those games have been against the Manchester clubs it is stunning!

He's coming back to the Wirral to stalk Rodgers for the next 6 months.....

Said it on the Liverpool board many times before we appointed anyone that I wanted Rafa back, especially considering he had worked with most of the squad that were left. However although I am not convinced at all by BR, or ever was, I would not like to see him sacked just yet. Big season for him amd Liverpool for sure.
