I'd rather sell it for face value to a fellow supporter than contribute to more away fans in the home end personally.

 

You can’t guarantee it’ll go to a home supporter on the system they chose i.e. Stubhub, so it is what it is.

If I sell my seats it’s always for face value or less, but I make an exception for the red ****e & United, as you know they’ll be bought by aways, so **** ‘em.

It’d be far better if the club administered it itself and only allowed club members to buy, but they don’t.

The way they administer away seats is even worse, as it’s a closed shop. I’ve had a pass for about 15 consecutive seasons and I can never qualify for an away ticket or even apply for one.

In fairness though you'll never make anyone happy regards away tickets at a club which will always sell out. Could do 10% at a ballot or something I suppose.

 

They should do a ballot for all the tickets imo, with all of the long standing away fans who’ve got complete histories (they’ll buy when they can’t go and sell on to mates etc) getting say 4 entries per ballot, with season ticket holders with no history getting one. So all the old faithfuls will have 4 times the chance of getting a ticket which rewards their loyalty, but everyone else at least gets a shot at it.
