Personally I’d take Potter, but he’d be a gamble. Of the other names I’ve seen mentioned I’d not want any of them.

They'll say that, but most of them by the time the dust settles will carry on as always.

Some won’t due to the ST renewal dates that runs for another few weeks yet, but that’s up to them, there’s 15k on the waiting list.

Too big a gamble for me, if he wants to be the Everton manager he’s got to leave and prove what he can do somewhere else first imo.

Neah he will see out his whole contract, wouldn't surprise me if it ended up being renewed in a couple of years time either.
    He's here to stay.

He would be a gamble. Brighton lost 15 games last season and finished 16th, but he does at least try to get his teams playing attacking football, and the players he'd have at Everton would be a step up from Brighton.

What are the expectations from Everton next season, European place ? An improvement on 10th place is surely a prerequisite. I think Potter would be worth a punt to see what he could do.

How has Bruce improved Newcastle more than Rafa did? That's a very strange comment.

    Bruce's finishes are 13th and 12th.

Rafa 10th and 13th. Whilst also bringing them straight back up at first time of asking.

Had Brighton had a proper PL level striker they’d have a different proposition imo.

As for aspirations that’ll depend on the budget they’ve got, and who they can bring in.

We're playing much better football and scoring plenty of goals since Bruce brought in Jones.

For the last half of last season 19 games nufc was the 10th best performing side in the league and the last 11 games the 7th best performing side, so I'm not sure what you want from Steve tbh? I think it's true I think youre delusional

What's Bruce's record before Jones came in?

Bruce chose to bring in Jones and since then it's been fine, so just give him some credit instead of being more bothered about winning an argument against pundits.

He had nothing to do with Jones coming in.

    Oh really?

Weeks ago, we’d been talking about bringing someone in to help us, when we had the problems with Steve Agnew (who was forced to isolate because of Covid) and Stephen Clemence (who lost his father). He was my – and I reiterate my – first choice. All these conspiracy theories need to be put to bed.”

Just to back that up here's Jones comments

"Once I spoke to Steve I got a good feeling for him.

"But obviously the pull I've got with the football club with myself and my father as well, it was too big to turn down.

"These opportunities at 50-year-old aren't going to come round again.

"As long as you feel you can help and make a difference, weighing all those things up there was only decision I was going to make."
