Benitez's only talent is taking CL winning sides to domestic obscurity. Liverpool, Inter, Chelsea....
Just, exactly, what are you attempting to defend here mate? Doesn't the stadium full of hostile fans wanting the fat spanish waiter to leave Chelsea speak for itself? How about the fantastic 1-0 loss to the might of the Corintheans? I don't exactly see your perspective. Ok, so Rafa may have an adequate record in the Champions League. ...But surely the impressive half-season sacking by Inter blurs this a little?

Could you please remind me which CL game that was in? I'm sure a genuine Chelsea fan will be able to enlighten me because, as far as I recall, Chelsea have never beaten Utd in Europe
He'll only have been supporting them for a short while in 2005 so his memory of the early days may be hazy.
Sorry, did nit make myself clear, meant the 3-1 league win at Old T with our B team. Think we beat you four or five times that season. The comparison i meant to make was United failed to beat a great side Chelsea 04.5, while Rafa did with a bit of fortune. rafa also beat Milan 05, who owned United 07 with a similar team. SAF has never beaten a great side in Europe. Milan 07 Barca 09 (not 08) 94 11 real 00 and 03 Juve mid 90s (not 99, they came sixth in Serie A and barely got out of their group in CL with one win and eight points). rafa has beaten a great Chelsea side 05, Milan 05, barca 06 /07. Comparison-wise, SAF could not get to grips with Chelsea 04/5 when Rafa did. Saffa also could not get to grips with the other truly great domestic team of the Sky era: Arsenal 03/4, who were better than anything United produced too
Long answer to try and cover up making a tit of yourself. Credit for putting the legwork in but you're still a tit!
Thanks for agreeing with me for once. Anyway, I await your answer. Name a great European team Saffa has beaten. Eg, Chelsea ended the Guardiola era in 2012; and conquered Rikjaard's very best too
Jose's Chelsea? Or were they ****? Must have been ****. Sorted, they were ****. Not the 2005 team though, don't think Fergie played them in Europe!
Sorry. Earlier post was unclear. But anyway, SAF could not get to grips with Chelsea 04/5 and rafa did. If he had played Chelsea in Europe 04/5, he would have got battered and his 0-1-4 record or whatever it was, would have been 0-1-6. Can you name me a great side in CL Saffa beat?
Most of your posts seem to be unclear! You are DESPERATE for attention. Why? Not too late to jump ship to City!
Fair play, they were a good side. But i think they peaked a couple of years later when they had Romario despite the 4-0 thrashing by AC.
chelsea have never beat a great European team. Barcelona were awful last season. And chelsea always park the bus against big teams.
This **** moves the parameters to suit his own non argument. Don't waste your breath on the simpleton. According to him, Alex Ferguson has never beaten a great side either domestically or in europe. Not once, while winning twelve league titles and two champions leagues with another two finals. ALL the teams he has ever beaten have been ****. That is what you are arguing with.
That was when Spanish football was its very worst domestically and internationally. Real went a record six years without winning La liga, and did not get a good side together until Quinta del Buitre came along. Barca went 11 years without winning titles. Bilbao were decent though but the Mousers took care of them. Still waiting for a top European side dispatched by Saffa after 30 years of trying. Even RDM beat Barca!
