We have suspended releasing the minutes, as the redactions requested by the club result in them looking like a nonsense and not a fair reflection of the meeting.

We are releasing nothing for now, but if they are ever released, they will almost certainly be released in full.

I suspect the recent interviews give everyone a reasonable idea of some of the things the club want redacted.

I'm sure it will be discussed at the next meeting, but we're trying to stick to a clear and concise message, we don't want to muddy the waters with stuff that largely been surpassed by other events.

Sorry if this has been asked before on another thread but how many season ticket holders (who the campaign group say the FA would want to vote on said name change) are on here - and what percentage are pro, anti, not bothered.

Secondly Obi claimed last night that the FA had issued a statement re the name change - have yet to find anything the FA have said about this.

Your missing my point, the clubs he's comparing us to are the goliaths of football, not ****ty little clubs like ours. And these goliaths have dominated global audiences by spending outrageous amounts on the worlds best talents to win the most prestigious trophies in football. Being the best is always likely to win you support across the globe no matter what your name is. Unfortunately we don't have the resources to compete at that level, Dr. Allam is trying something completely different and completely new. I don't see how fez can take the best clubs being the best achieving them global success and make it a flaw in Dr. Allams plan. The two scenarios are entirely different.

Compare it to F1. When Red Bull hit the big time, they did it by having a locked rear differential giving them 100% power to the wheels. The big boys such as McLaren and Ferrari didn't do that, and look what happened. You can't say it's a bad idea and won't work because the big boys aren't doing it.

An FA spokesman told Perform: "We haven't received an application for a name change from Hull City and the process cannot start until the New Year."

Hull City Association Football Club, The Tigers
    Hull City A.F.C. The Tigers
    Hull City Tigers
    Hull Tigers

I'm not saying I'm for the name change but this argument keeps cropping up, I agree that Hull City is shorter but does that mean we drop The Tigers from our idendity to keep it shorter?

The Tigers is our nickname, never, in our history, has it been part of our playing name.

Is your objection because of the history, the fact that it is our nickname, or because Hull Tigers is faintly ridiculous, like Newcastle Ninja's or Norwich Canaries?

Bloke currently on sportstalk saying that RH have been against the name change all the way, playing nothing but anti-Allam callers and texts, etc..

I presume he hasn't listened at all then for the past few days.

My objection is basically because it's a **** idea, it will generate no extra income(in fact, I expect it to reduce income), it's embarrassing, it's pointless, it's just ****.

The problem we've got with that point is that our sponsorship deals are running out this summer (adidas and CC I think both up for renewal). As the CC deal is piss poor by PL standards, and the adidas deal was done whilst we were screwed financially and set for almost certain relegation it's probably fair to say that both deals will be replaced by more rewarding ones, so revenue is likely to increase regardless of what happens with the name.

If the name has been changed Allam will use it as evidence he was right, and the protest groups will dispute it on the grounds I've given.
If the name isn't changed the protest groups will say that they were right and we didn't need to change it to increase revenue, but Allam will say that the increase was restricted by not changing.

I swear some of you are just taking the piss, because nobody can be that ******ed that they can't understand the differences between those names.

So far, Allam has changed only the name of our holding company - nobody gives a **** about it. Most fans at most clubs aren't even aware of the idea of a holding company. After all, we don't talk about playing Fenway Sports FC when we head to Anfield, do we, because the football club is still called Liverpool FC.

Our nickname is 'The Tigers', and thanks to Allam this piece of our history has now been reduced to a dirty word.

Allam has already admitted to the CTWD group that his motivation for the name change is that he doesn't want the council 'basking in the glory' of HCAFC, and yet there are still a sizable number of ****witted morons who parrot the line, "well let's give him a chance hurr de durr".

Furthermore, I have asked innumerable times on here why even those nu-fans indifferent to a name-change are willing to ignore the times he lied to us. Firstly, he apparently thinks the name of the holding company is the same as the club name, hence why he referenced 'Southampton Saints' and our holding company's old name of Hull City AFC (The Tigers) Limited in wrongly asserting that Tigers had always been part of our playing name. But then, if that's the case, and the holding company name was changed in Spring, why did he and Nick Thompson both come out months later and say Hull [City] Tigers was only a 'pet name'? None of it adds up, and in making excuses for him in one regard you show him up as a liar in another.

Get that man away from my football club.
