Read some comments from people complaining that they waited 35 mins for the return bus last night. My immediate thoughts' where you clearly have never been on Walton st car park after a City match..

Moaning about 35 minutes at an event of preposterous value? **** me what's wrong with these people? I once waited 11 hours to get out of a Glastonbury car park after paying £200 for the privilege and then had a 6 hour drive home on top of it.

It's a real Hull trait to ****ing moan about anything.

Yep Chaz I don't get this as the police said no suspicious circumstances and they also say they have arrested someone in connection with it.

RIP though, sad going on that.

Don't agree OLM, in my experience, of working in and around the Beverley and Walkington area for many a year in the building trade, many East Yorkshire folk have, shall I say, a distasted of Hull, in fact a lot of East Riders loath the place. The irony of course is that many patrons of the East Riding have accrued their wealth and living standards by working in the Hull area. I would think that the success of this C.O.C. thing, and the many plaudits Hull have gained, with leave many East Riders rather pained.

The sort of people who constantly go on about how much they love Hull, but not enough to actually live there.

You mean people commute to Hull to work? Maybe places like London will catch up and people will start travelling in there, spend the day, working, and returning home at night.

Say thanks to the ER as it puts on the events which Hull can't cope with.

I rocked up at Walton Street at 12:50. No queues. Walked straight into a bus that had two empty seats. Got here before 1:30.

I commuted to the East Riding and beyond for work if that's what you say but its not what I was saying at all, I was expressing my experience of working amongst people who wouldn't touch Hull with a bargepole if they could help it, but never explained as to why.

And why should they? My experience, as I have already written was of a loathing for Hull but never actaully saying why.

Because it raises the question exactly how much they really love it and how much they're just saying it?

People move away for a variety of reasons, work, love, travel, whatever, but many still love the place of their birth, but other places offer oppotunities that Hull cannot.
