I have always felt that racist remarks largely are only regarded as such by people that are expecting to be offended. Even in ordinary conversation it is easy to be judged by some as being offensive, when the opposite is actually being intended by the speaker.
In other words what is offensive to one is not neccessarily offensive to another. So in my book there is no clear and precise way of knowing if what you are saying is going to be offensive to someone. How do you prove intent? Apparently you don't have to........it is no wonder that society as a whole is in such a bad way.

Personally I don't mind a comment if it's in context or genuinely funny, that goes for pretty much everything including racial 'criticism'. The problem is when you have a couple of pricks trying to be controversial solely for the attention, and worst of all not even making me laugh in the process.
