No problem at all mate. It just seems like when COL goes walkabouts, you take up the "ranting" mantle. Its like you're doing relays with each other like that bloody Olympic Torch.
Fantastic news mate, very glad to hear so far my fears have been unfounded. Long my the peace and harmony last. Enjoy your trip
Spot of bother in Poznan last night, 10 Poles, 3 Irish and a Croat detained. To be fair, sounds like it could have happened anywhere in the world (and in any English market town on a Friday or Saturday night) when blokes gather and drink too much. Hope, if they are blameless, the lads get to see the game. Just want to reflect on what a genius Trappatoni is. Just looked at the Irish squad, not inspiring (apologies lads) yet, at 73 and with idiosyncratic English, he has them playing just as he wants, complete buggers to beat. I'll be cheering them on later, despite the fact that this team, in collusion with England, made me suffer the worst game I have even seen at any level, 1-1 in Cagliari in 1990.
It cant have been worse than a 0-0 with Watford at LR I once saw with not a single shot on target or decent chance. At least you saw 2 goals.
I see Balotelli got the monkey chants from the Spanish fans yesterday, no surprise considering their history. Whether it was his public statements that got the abuse flying or whether it's an indication of what may await our players should we meet in the Quarters remains to be seen. Nice to see the stewards doing their bit (not)... http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/euro-2012-mario-ballotelli-target-872366
Mmmm, I didn't hear anything, i'm sure A LOT more would be made in the media if this was true considering how much they've talked about it already. I reckon there is a very strong chance this has been sensationalised and that if anything happened it was a couple of people at most.
Someone posted it on another forum as the match was going on, they were shouting "monkey" in spanish rather than doing the noises which is why it escaped everyone unless you knew spanish.
I think after he was booked it went up in volume, I thought there were some chants just after the booking but the mikes weren't particularly clear. I think he was targeted as much for his comments as anything else, still not acceptable. I wonder what awaits England & France this evening?...
I heard the Russian FA have got some action from EUFA regarding "inappropriate" beghaviour from their fan in the Check game. I don't know what it was about but I thought I heard them giving a Check black player abuse. The German FA got some too, I think for their fans chucking paper balls!
They should have been at Wembley last week for the Belgium friendly, there must have been more than a couple of thousand cardboard aeroplanes thrown towards the pitch, it was the most entertaining thing on show!...
Totally this. Sooper continues to get carried away. Balotelli declared to the World that he'd march off if he heard any abuse and surprise surprise, there's reports he got it. This stuff is so predictable its tiresome.
You have nailed it there Souper. Trouble is...Swords doesn't seem to have noticed that the Euro zone is collapsing and having to be propped up with loans from Countries with no money!! He's had a pop at Northolt for putting up a picture of the flag of St George! He seems to think that you can't be patriotic without being a foreigner hating racist!!
Our town halls are full of Swords-types telling us we can't do this or can't do that in case we offend someone...
Oh you pair of numpties! Well done on deliberately distorting what I said COL, good work there! I didn't have a pop at North for the flag . It was his picture and caption harping back to ancient battles with the French I found distasteful when referring to a bloody football match! The more St George's flags the better I say. I also said I knew North was only having a laugh. You see, you can't get away with trying to tell lies on here Colly! I preferred it when I could take you on one at a time but now its a tag-team, its twice the trouble
