Yeah, but I think I can see why they stupidly don't see it that way. In a rather bold move we "Owned" this racial slur by good humorously vocalising it ourselves and thereby taking all venom out of it, unfortunately this means other fans don't see it as being that bad. I'm not suggesting it's like black people owning the N word, but I guess that would be an example of that type of reversal. Basically we can make fun of ourselves, but other's should tread more carefully....? Either way there are a couple of points that should be raised... 1) What Norwich fans (or any others) say about us is NOT RACISM - IT IS XENOPHOBISM - If we are going to be upset by something, at least let us get the term correct. 2) The two should NEVER be played off against each other. I don't think a single Swans poster here has said they condone racism at all, so everyone has been arguing the same point....however if we want to talk about the strong xenophobia feelings we are subjected to (and to be honest we can be guilty of too) then that is a different topic and should be handled as such. Racism on the other hand relates that any race determines the traits of human and their capacity making them more superior than the any other race. Across the world there are racial discriminations present between people belonging to different groups. They are discriminated against based on their cultural or ethnic beliefs." Notice the words cultural and ethnic beliefs ? Once you establish the cultural and ethnic beliefs you enter the relms of racism. Now some people may perceive a certain type of abuse as xenophobic and others may perceive it as racist, there is a strong argument and the facts and definitions back this up by the way, that comments about us lovely lovely welsh people are racist, our people fall into the definitions of being an ethnic group, its part of the reason we have our road signs in Welsh as well as English,its what the Welsh language commitee used in its favour. One thing is for sure its a total minefield !!

The fact you are a bit of a Historic sperm cocktail of people does fudge the lines a little bit though, which probably explains why you suffer from an identity crisis. Well I know sod all about any other country except Wales. Own language, culture, flag, national anthem etc etc. Now I have nothing against the English or any other country but seeing as the UK is going to the dogs and the do gooders and the immigrants are trying to take over all I can say is God help anyone who says anything to to insult my country, language, culture etc etc. I will from now on take offence. That said I've been to Norwich 3 times and I never encountered any form of discrimination on any of my visits, quite the opposite in fact. I did get told last year to Fcuk off back to Wales you sheeting shagging Welsh Cnut, in all places Blackburn and they were not white they were of Asian/Pakistani descent !!! Fair enough NJ, but my main point stands. Us ranting about the Sheep shagger chants as some kind of tit-for-tat argument when it comes to racist abuse of black players is something we should steer well clear of as it makes us sound like we're asking them to "suck it up like we do" and that belittles our stand on the subject.
