Used to love Wish you were here? back at university due to this particular gem bouncing along the beach half-dressed (Ruth England):
They ****ing knew what they were doing. Sexy women sell. Not sure how that fits with the undercurrent of viewing this type of thing as sexist? I mean some women watch programmes because there are hot men in it, some men watch programmes because there are hot women in them, some men watch programmes because there are hot men in it, some women watch programmes because there are hot women in it, I'll stop there because I don't have time to list them all. The reality is we have an inbuilt desire which sometimes overrides our ability to be completely objective. Why would we want to lose that, we are emotional beings. Its like wolf whistling. The younger generation tend to think of it as sexist. The older generation largely disagree. Are times changing or do we just have a load of snowflakes looking to be offended? It is certainly intended as a compliment, and is simply a human reaction to someone seeing something they like.
The middle picture is taken from an episode she went on a water slide (i think in Borneo) and she hosted the rest of the episode with her nipples showing through her outfit. It was 2003-ish so not decent footage but I think if that was on primetime nowadays it would possibly break the internet. Perfection.
Its okay to say you thought a woman TV show presenter was hot. To then start producing descriptions of her actions in specific shows with footage from your archived collections is getting a bit stalkery.
