I have no wish to wum so I have written this article on the spurs board...to be honest most have us have held views we no longer do or have said and done things we wish we hadn't...I just do not understand how it is nothing to do with football when he did his nazi salute on a football pitch and made his views clear in football related interviews and a football related book. I used to be very abusive to gay people until I was 15 or 16 ... I thought it was ok to say the most awful things to anyone I thought was gay, looked gay, or sounded gay until one day a bloke I mouthed off at in a youth club football team said it was fine to call him a queer **** as long as he could call me a paki...I simply couldn't answer him so began the change in my views. People have the right to an opinion ... what they don't have is the right to spread hate...Fascism is hate pure and simple...and there should be no place in football or (in my opinion) the civilised world for it. How would you respond to some one in football stating they admire what Osama Bin Laden has said and done...said that he detrayed some of his values but still got a tattoo in tribute to him...I bet no one would be supporting this person becoming manager of their club...(quite rightly)I see this as pretty much the same as Di Canio. I think that Di Canio simply needs to state that his views have changed....and until he does I will continue to hope Sunderland crash and burn while he is your manager
Somehow there's been little mention in the press of the recent case of Beitar Jerusalem fans' racist chanting, followed by several of them breaking into the club's stadium and torching the offices. The reason? Beitar signing a couple of Muslim players. Israelis can be racist too, y'know...
Why would there be? Israel was a state created by the West Israeli's launching rockets into Palestinian schools is fine but should Palestine dare retort it's "terrorism"
Usual stuff. Terrorist or freedom fighter? It all depends on your viewpoint. The unfortunate thing with that situation is that the hard line Muslim fundamentalists will NEVER accept the existence of Israel - under any circumstances. The Israelis know this and, again unfortunately, will overreact to that fact.
I don't quite see it that way. These guys have been at each other's throats for thousands of years. It's hardly a problem created on modern times - by anybody.
Some potential action, at last!...let's see if it actually happens and, more importantly, is enforced. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...at-of-10-match-bans-and-stadium-closures.html
I have very wide tastes in my music and I once went with my girlfriend (now my wife), to the same venue on successive nights to see Val Doonican and the heavy metal band Saxon. I'm pretty sure we were the only people who went to both, mostly because we looked completely out of plae in the dress code on both nights.
