Hypocrisy of FA and English pundits is astonishing. They demand Blatter to resign, still are happy for Terry to play for England. Actually what they are doing is they are trying to show how intolerant they are to racism to be able to cover John Terry.
ToledoTrumpton - you are spot on.

the problem is you have to prove him guilty. I'd have thought you could find enough on him to drop him before this.......

I called Sepp Blatter a fat, ignorant Swiss **** at a dinner party we both attended.

I don't understand why he got so angry though. After all, I did offer to shake his hand.

Blatter is not all there and clearly he has been showing signs of someone who lives in an alternate reality to the rest of the world. If this is whats needed to be president of FIFA then I can see why this man has kept his job. As for his claims that racism can be settled with a hand shake you can't really blame him since most of problems and controversies are settled with handshakes of the golden kind.

'he has been showing signs of someone who lives in an alternate reality' -

I think this applies to Spuds fans.

Where has he said that he regrets what he said? You can't blame the media for this - the words came out of his mouth alone.

I actually agree with jayram up to a point.I've just been listening to Talksport where the presenter Adrian Durham stated that Blatter would be arrested in this country for making the racist remarks that he did.I'm not being funny but Blatter did not make a racist remark. He made himself look ignorant and stupid but he said nothing racist.

It's not that he said anything racist, but it was his total ignorance and denial that racism exists in football that most people find so incredulous. If it were someone on the street saying it, you'd laugh it off and call them a fool. The fact that this man is at the top of world football, just shows how out of touch FIFA are with the modern game.

I love it when these twats say stupid **** like "I've been working very hard to eradicate racism from football". Really ??? Really !!

What does Blatter's "working hard" consist of ? The odd letter sent to a bloke once a year, typed by his PA, probably only signed by Blatter while he sits on his fat arse talking **** to people and singing the praises of FIFA. What hard work does this muppet do ? Give the odd dictation ? Oh let me guess .. travelling First Class on a plane to South Africa where he dines with the President and stays in the presidential palace or suite in a top hotel eating top quality food, only pausing to burp from eating caviar and drinking fine wine.

What hard work has he done ? Clown.

I think this being just the latest in a long line of gaffes is what is really driving the anti Blatter movement.

He has made a string of such 'errors' in the past & each time claimed he was taken out of context. The reallity is that he is naive, maybe stupid, probably corrupt. Definitely not competent or trustworthy enough to be heading up such an important world body.

Neither player have been found guilty of anything yet, so to use them in an attempt to bolster an argument in defense of Blatter is misleading.

Do you believe that anything Terry or Rooney have been proven guilty of comes remotely close to Blatter's latest in a string of outrages?

Do you believe a racist comment made by a player is as damaging to the game as one made by the head of the entire organisation?

Terry has been vilified by the media, but what do you KNOW Terry to be guilty of that merits his being hounded?

    Rooney?

As I said, Saurez has not been proven guilty of anything yet.

JT did not admit to calling Ferdinand a racist name. He explained how certain words were used in a sentence and in what context. Very different to your false claim.

They are 2 non-instances thus far.

If either Suarez or JT are found to be guilty, then I would put them on a par with Blatter's latest comment. However, taking into account Blatters past comments and his position, make his crime far more damaging to the game that we all love.

Afternoon!! I'm back from a couple of weeks in the 26-degree heat of Florida, all paid for by the Government. So I thank you for your tax dollars fellow Gooners.

I'd disagree with you Jayram. Blatter, the head of the world football organisation that is FIFA, said that there was no racism problem, and any problem there was could be sorted out with a handshake. I'd say that was very much worse than John Terry or Suarez making a comment at a player as it makes racism a trivial and unimportant matter, akin to saying it's OK to be racist.

There you go again, making false accusations, yet you have the audacity to warn me of doing the same when talking about your 'Arry in another thread?

As for the other stuff you list & 99% of which is not football related; Are you seriously expecting anyone to believe you when you say they weren't slaughtered in the media?

    Amazing!

You forgot to mention making jokes about 9/11 to Americans at an airport and also various fights outside nightclubs.

    trivialise: "cause to appear unimportant"

by trivialising it, effecitvely telling people that racism doesn't matter, he's telling people that racism is not important, akin to saying that it's ok.

if your company director tells you that racism is ok, that has far more of an impact than one employee making a racial slur at another. i'm afraid your argument just doesn't stack up in this case.
