Notting Hill rings a bell nowThat was Northolt v Hayes (I think), didn’t think it was anything to do with colour but could be wrong.

Just watching the great programme that’s been on ITV called ‘Out Of Their Skin’, which looks at the lives and careers of black players from the 70’s, 80’s onwards and the abuse they used to suffer.
Seems a million years from where we are now but I remember someone telling me that our own QPR had a bit of a racist following back in those dark times. I started going in ‘85 and can’t recall anything but does anyone remember such behaviour ? All I recall is seeing National Front News being sold during visits to Chelsea and a few Leeds knobs singing a few racist songs.
You are brave to go back. I hope you don't get any of that now?Am afraid so...i remember it vividly, QPR v Liverpool 1988, early March..... we lost 1-0 I was 21 at the time and was probably the 10th time I'd been to QPR.
The abuse was terrible, but wasn't aimed at the players on the pitch but to me from OUR own fans..the usual Go home Paki and other colourful references.. I ignored them although I was **** scared. After the game was accosted outside of the ground by the same bunch who had abused me inside telling me they didn't need my support cos I was Indian and they rather I went back to my own country. (I was born here) .
Stopped me going to Loftus Road for about 20 years. Even when I go now I still feel a little uneasy if I'm honest.
But u know never stopped following the R's thanks to my love for the 70's team just can't follow anyone else.
That is just awful and like Oslo so hope it doesn't happen nowAm afraid so...i remember it vividly, QPR v Liverpool 1988, early March..... we lost 1-0 I was 21 at the time and was probably the 10th time I'd been to QPR.

Not QPR, but thought it apt to post here...
It just goes to show how mindless Chelsea's so-called fans are that one is now being investigated for racially abusing Sterling yesterday. Presumably this Neanderthal also celebrated Kante's superb opener and wore a Drogba shirt for years. Utter bell-end.

Only go once or twice a season now, but haven't expierenced anything like that again to be honest. The rest of my family are all Arsenal fans, so I used to go to a few games with them and the atmosphere was never hostile. Failed to convert them to R's fans..so lucky them![]()
