They only place Mars al be goin is ain ah scottish fryer.....Telescope ais tha wun faw the Derby

A retired amateur jump jockeys Derby comments are no more meaningful than those of the average man in the street I'm afraid.

Always best to judge a racehorse on his credentials rather than where he comes from and whether he will make a Stallion.

His pedigree is fine and he will be serviced by a band of excellent broodmares should the occasion arise.

You'll need a Telescope to search for Telescope after the Derby #completeduffer

Mick...I can't rule Dawn Approach entirely out of staying a mile and a half yet ,and he is second favourite for the race in the Ante-Post lists...not that I would back Ante-Post nowadays....however,I wonder if ANY bookie is offering any price on an Irish trained winner of it ?

Arkle I think there was concerns seeing out the full mile that seem to have gone but 1m4f seems to be a bit far for the best 2yo this year

On what planet are people living when they favour Mars over Kingsbarns? Come on people. Mars has won a naff maiden at DUNDALK. If he'd won a crap race at Lingfield would anyone even know his name? No they bloody well wouldn't.

Boston Bob...the same may have been said about High Chaparral over HawkWing in 2001 and we all know which of those won the Derby in 2002 !!

Mick...the same was thought about his dad,New Approach, though he ended up staying the mile and half standing on his head !

It is far from certain with Dawn Approach..though can't rule that out completely yet.
