One kind Tigers supporter used his Hull City scarf to cushion the man's head after the accident. More than 3,000 City fans are believed to have made the trip to Gigg Lane for the fourth round FA Cup tie. PC Darren Kirkwood, of Humberside Police, is carrying out patrols at the stadium in Bury. He took to Twitter to praise the fans who helped the former paratrooper. He tweeted: "MASSIVE Thank you to the @hullcity fans that have just assisted a 91 year old ex paratrooper that had fallen in Bury #hcafc. "One FANTASTIC @hullcity fan will be without his scarf due to his kindness and using it to cushion a 'Blooded' war heroes head #hcafc."
What a bastard of a month! Having said that, maybe it's just that these people who die now are just more high profile due to media options available. They're also people I've grown up with so will be more recognisable than some actors from the 20s that starred in a classic non talkie movie!
