    Dennis Davis, the former drummer for David Bowie during the mid to late seventies, worked with Bowie on all the albums between Young Americans and Scary Monsters (and Super Creeps), has passed away, another one fallen to cancer.

    Grassroots football has lost a great person. Kath Dawson was Mini Soccer in Hull. RIP Kath.

    KATH DAWSON

    The Hull Boys Sunday Football League are very saddened to hear that on Saturday night, Kath Dawson passed away.

    Kath had been a member of the League Committee for 20 years, and was instrumental in setting up Mini Soccer in the area and helping it grow over the ensuing years.

    Many Managers, Coaches, Players and parents will have come into contact with Kath during those years as the players developed from young children into adults.

    But it didn’t stop there with Kath, and she took an active part in all aspects of the League.

    We will announce information regarding funeral arrangements as and when they are known, and we would ask during this very sad and difficult time that all football matters are directed through Keith Pinder, and the family are not disturbed
