The TV money for the CL group stage alone is £18m that's before any prize money/gate receipts etc. There will be no need to sell any **** if we make the group stage.

I'd rather sell Van Dijk to Norwich or Everton for £6m than sell our best player to Southampton for the third summer in a row too. Embarrassing being a feeder club to those cash rich diddies.

Im not a ***** or paranoid Venom but i would like to see the team progress by keeping our better players and added to when need be.

Selling to diddies with inflated budgets is depressing.

    Its Celtic not Dundee United.

O'brien and Desmond are ****ers btw.

Then you're myopic and ill informed in that case.

Why would Wanyama or Forster stay at Celtic on £20-30k a week when they can triple that easily in England? Same rules apply to Van Dijk.

To keep those three on EPL wages would be approx £15m per year before agent fees and bonuses. That's almost a quarter of turnover without CL money.

The club is a business and has to manage it as such.

Making comparisons with Dundee Utd is ******ed also. I could easily say "It's Celtic not Real Madrid"

The home game is still one of the best games i ever saw at Parkhead ...the away leg was played on something resembling a cow field!

I don't disagree. It's sad to see Scottish fitba become an actual backwater.

That's why I would happily take 6 pumping in the CL than 6 wins in the EL. The Champions League is the pinnacle in all senses; prestige, money & co-efficient point. (You get more points for a loss in the CL than a win in the EL!)

It can't last forever. The level of investment to actual interest in the English Premier League is massively skewed.

The most important thing is that Celtic come out of the next few years with a healthy financial situation, good facilities and a squad/backroom staff which is constantly developing.

Big clubs don't stop being big clubs overnight and vice-versa. Southampton etc. might have the financial muscle currently but are still a diddy club in the grand scheme.

The only way to keep parity in the coming years is consistent European qualification until Christmas, ideally CL group stage.

Ronny definitely understands that principle about the difference between a big club and a rich club.

I always felt Lennon was too complimentary towards English fitba because he has a lot of friends down there and harboured ambition to manage there.

Ronny doesn't seem to give two ****s about their league or the overblown hype surrounding it. His opinion is that there are maybe 3 or 4 teams bigger than Celtic in England and **** the rest of them.

I honestly think it's the Loyal thing they harp on about. The deference to their betters too.

The guy has nice brouges and a decent suit means he's ok.

Huns are followers, they bow to their betters.

Theyre adoration to their Queen, they're calling people on charge Mr Warburton etc is nauseating.

The men at the top keep on spouting that "Back where we belong" and "Competing with Celtic" pish too. Which doesn't help.

They need a healthy dose of reality from a genuine businessman with a proven track record. Someone like Peter Lawwell would sort them right out, which is funny as ****.
