Off Topic Quiz Night in Sunderland City Centre

I have been running a quiz night in The Albert (Just opposite the Post Office on Fawcett Street in the City Centre) for the past few weeks and all has started well. The Jackpot remains solid and this weekend will be close to £125. As well as the cash prizes for the main quiz and the beer tokens on offer there is plenty to win!

The quiz kicks off at 7.30pm and is done by 10pm. Varied rounds including News, Pictures, General Knowledge and Sport as well as Music and Entertainment there is enough to keep anyone with an interest in Pub Quizzes Entertained!

No need to reserve a table, but if you do let me know and Ill hold one for you!

The newest and Friendliest bar in town and certainly a superb Pub Quiz in Sunderland!

Also cash prizes and beer tokens up for grabs in the main quiz.

No jackpot winner this week! £120-£130 on Sunday. With 10 beer tokens and £25 cash to win during the main quiz, it could be a very profitable night..

Nobody picked the World Cup Question, otherwise I think it would have gone

 

Gunna have to up the jackpot buddy, those are pretty low prizes...

The prizes we give out are quite a bit higher than a lot of the quizzes in the area. Some of the other quizzes have a bigger jackpot, as they have been running longer and have had more chance to roll over, but the main quiz prizes and amount of beer tokens issued rival anywhere else in town

 

Do you ask a jackpot question

 

Apart half way through the quiz we take a break to do the Jackpot. I ask a nearest the pin style question (usually a year or a number that people can have an educated guess at). Whoever is closest comes up to the front and gets a choice of 5 subjects....if they answer the question correctly they win the full amount. If there is no winner I do some side prizes of £30, £25, £20 and £15 but like last night, no one was able to get the final questions so the entire jackpot rolls over.

Considering doing a guaranteed payout when it gets to £200 but may just let it roll and roll

The Sunday Night Quiz in The Albert (Fawcett Street Opposite Wilkos) continues to grow and we are running this Sunday Night at 7.30pm.

Jackpot is on a 8 week rollover so should be close to £175 on Sunday. In addition, we have cash prizes for the quiz as well as beer tokens to give away throughout the course of the night.

Always a fun quiz, and the bar itself is friendly and welcoming. All usually done by 10pm and most teams end up with a prize!
