The McDonald Interview So if we were after him last summer has Slav been persuaded. If he can bring his best form should be a good signing
Just weighing up the scales: Out 10 lots of wages (at least three sizeable) and received fees of at a guess, £6-7m In 7 lots of wages (three are frees/loan; Madl not counted since already here) and paid fees of at a guess, £4-5m Not exactly splashing the cash Mr Khan.

As well as the contracts above that they haven't made any public comment about, the Club have made no mention of a whole host of youngsters who have become Scholars. Really poor show .. ]
Not many left from them what played in the first League game last season. That team, away to Cardiff (and getting a 1-1 draw), was: Lonergan; Richards, Hutchinson, Burn, Voser; O'Hara, Christensen; Cairney, McCormack, Pringle; Smith please log in to view this image

Is this the end for Richard Stearman? Feels like Joka fancies Ream a bit more, which makes Stearman our number 5 CB. Still not convinced we have the cover for our wide players, particularly on the left (Fredericks is probably more of a RM anyway).
As well as CB, Stearman gives cover at RB as does Kalas of course, having played there for a fair bit of last season for 'Boro. And Slavi must like Stearman a little, since he made him captain in the pre-season games. Agree his future with us probably is in the balance but don't see him moving at this time. Anyway the priority is surely to get rid of Bodurov first and foremost. Choice number # and earning more than Stearman (and most of the others). Although .. Bodurov does seem to have his hands full maintaining the other player's cars so there may just be a case for keeping him .... please log in to view this image

The recent signings should improve the immediate squad no end. However the Club do seem to be looking at the bigger picture and building for the future - please log in to view this image
Very happy with our transfer window. Particularly happy with the apparent depth in some positions. For all my concern a few weeks ago over the lack of competition/cover for Aluko/Ayite, we now have Kebano/Piazon (and, it seems, LVC). We have added Jozabed and Johansen to Parker/McDonald/Tunnicliffe. We have added Martin to Smith/Woodrow. In fact the only position where I have a little bit of concern is right back, although I suspect Kalas will provide the cover for Odoi.
And Fredericks when he's up and running again gives cover at RB. The Gaffer does seem to have managed to covered all his bases - please log in to view this image And that doesn't include LVC, or Joronen (not my doing - I pinched it from twitter). Nor does this impressive, but simplistic view, explain the myriad of combinations/formations that the Gaffer has to play with.
Agreed, Cottager. As well as LVC and Jorenen, it also omits the various youngsters who have used the League Cup to show that they are ready to be called upon if needed.
And looking at the bigger picture, as said above, for the first time in an awful long while we are "future proofing" ourselves. Not for a minute suggesting we get rid of any of these guys, but when we get promoted it will be important that there is some value around to be able to buy well for the next level.
