Yeah, ask him who he thinks is responsible for all that twaddle, in yesterday's news, about a takeover, because it certainly wasn't helpful to most Saints supporters moods, despite everyone knowing it to be rubbish.
Premature i know, but ST's & Pre season tournament info or ideas would get us all salivating a bit!
Just came out if the meeting in one of the corporate boxes. Great guy and a great ambassador for Saints. It surprised me how Commercial they are-think its the Don's influence! He commented on just how astute he is Commercially, which bears well for our future.
In answer to all your questions...
He had no idea where The twaddle in the press about the takeover came from, but the PR team obv hate it! He said its frustrating because they want to issue a statement denying stupid rumours like that, but doing that only seems to give the rumour more substance!
Gnome-because he'd be tooled up with fishing rod, hooks etc!!
As you'd expect, ST prices are known internally for both eventualities but won't obv be announced until end of season to the media as might look a bit presumptuous! I think the horses head on the pillow meant he wasn't prepared to let on any more to me!
All in all a good meeting and always love being in the place in general!

It must be annoying to issue good news only to find yourself preempted by rubbish that will probably be quoted many times over the coming week. I know we can find silence frustrating, but I think Nicola's Way (good title for a film) is best. Don't reply to every bit of media stuff, because there will be another bit of tosh along any minute.
