Chesh your post is exactly what a lot of posters are thinking.

There is also some evidence available to back those views up but I don't think it would serve any purpose to post it on the forum at this stage.

I totally respect your opinion, I do not doubt for one second that others see it the same way as yourself. I've went through the now 22 pages, brb and minxy are copied into that so the can confirm if you believe I am lying.

    Sunday 10:49am
One of the other mods comments that the common denominator is Glory

    Sunday 10:51am
One of the other mods suggests we consider the warn button, before banning

The discussion of constant disruption and banning then followed until the following day

    Monday 8:39am
I bring up the question mark over Eric

The discussion over Glory being banned was brought up long before Eric

Now let me be brutally honest, I think you are being disrespectful to Elland and Bucks if you believe I am capable of influencing their decision. With Eric reinstated Glory is still banned, brb hasn't reinstated Glory because it had nothing to do with what brb was looking into at the time.

brb point blank told me no way does he believe Eric is Glory

Wow that's amazing as we've probably shared what, 3 private messages and I certainly do not remember them containing anything other than ??

Glorys human marmite. You representing one camp, we hear via PM all the complaints from others.

The ball was rolling long before Ristac came on board and he is still learning the ropes, certainly not influencing decisions with some kind of personal vendetta

The decision has been made, lets move on

I honestly don't think there is any more we can add to what has already been said, and I think we should move on.

Chesh, you know me very well.

I can 100% assure you that this was not the case regarding ristac and Glory.

Bucks, me and you go back a long way mate.
All these complaining PM's are doing my nut in. Why are you entertaining them?
Tell them to grow up or fook off.
The "complain about" button did my head in on the BBC site - remember posts that were complained about used to get hidden while a moderator reviewed them.
I have never felt the need to use it as we "are all adults aren't we" (AAAW)

If someone on here says something that is out of order, the rest of the posters usually tell them so or drop them a PM telling them so.

Best thing you can do imho is get rid of the report button and get rid of the PM function - then no Kangaroo Court needed and all is transparent <ok>

Its not an easy job mate, but you can see how little we try and involve ourselves and think we are probably the best board for letting things run.

There was a call to make the match day thread on topic, we listened and implemented it, then there was a call for us to relax it so we have.

I guess what im saying is we do listen, we do react and we cant please everyone all the time <ok>

Jeez. These last few days sum up the good and the bad of this place for me. The good is the banter and close knit nature of many of the posters. The bad is the bickering and politics.

Tends to be why I dip in and out. When the competition for most needy poster takes centre stage, I take a rain check.

I have a very simple (being of a simple disposition) philosophy regarding site moderation.

I’m not paying a subscription. If they want to ban me ban me... if they ban someone else, so be it. Everyone is free to go elsewhere if they don’t like it. My experience of these places is that people come and go.

Yes I get that when people like a place they want to protect that. I also get the need for moderation. I’m a big boxing fan, and watched a handful of ******s destroy a great boxing site to the degree that it’s now a desert.

    Constant bickering drives people away.

There’s a glory or two on every board... they prompt debate and banter but it comes at a price.

Not an easy job to decide where to draw the line, but I reiterate it’s the mods job. Personally I don’t need an explanation from them. If they get it right they’ll have a thriving board. Get it wrong by either being over-officious or under-officious and they won’t.

I actually find the fascination among some posters with mods on this board to be part of the problem. All this drama queen **** and petty politics about complaints etc. I’ve never complained about a poster in 15 years of posting on various sites and during that period i’ve Had some spats with some serious nobheads. If I cop some flak I give it back and move on.

Last I checked Leeds had a great start to the season, maybe we should be talking about that.
