Strange thing is, I can cope with the work banter no problem. People can generally tell if they're annoying me and stop. Believe me, I rarely bite on here, I let an awful lot I could comment on go because it's your board and I don't like to rock the boat too much. Smug, apologies for not replying, the last time I was on. Or the time before that. Definitely not Carver. I would settle for drab McClaren tbh. It's a worry who he's going to appoint, I hope it's done sooner rather than later. If it's not, I might compile a letter of complaint to the FA.
Word round my way & one lad works for NUFC is that Ashley will stick with Charver until the transfer window closes. Get down the bookies tomorrow.
The only bets they are taking are for the next permanent manager, not caretaker, as far as I can see. He'll probably get it till the end of the season, don't reckon he'll get it permanently though.
Whereas, on the contrary, it just encourages me to crank it up a bit I think Carver was in with a chance until he started summoning up the ghost of Bobby Robson and buying a new suit. He's deluded if he thinks he'll walk into a Premier League job on the strength of being from Byker, or wherever he was brought up. McClaren will manage in the PL, sooner or later, and make a decent job of it .......... Carver never will as a full time boss. I can just imagine a French international being told 'John Carver would like you to play for him'
What is it with NUFC that they allow such thick brainless tossers, like the fat mess known as Mick Quinn please log in to view this image , to speak for the club or fans? This 'honorary Geordie' is supposed to be a 'columnist' for a newspaper yet can barely speak in coherent sentences. No doubt he spouts his drunken drivel, by phone from some racecourse, and some poor trainee translates it into English. For some unknown reason this Scouser who played more games for Portsmouth, than Newcastle, and played for 7 other clubs chooses to call Newcastle 'we' ....... is this because he was once found guilty of abusing horses? Or perhaps it's because he did time in prison that endears him to the Geordie Nation Does he live in Newcastle or have any involvement whatsoever with the club or even football in general? He applied for one managerial position and they laughed at him, he never bothered again. His latest attempt to push his doppelganger, Steve Bruce, in for the Newcastle job is to rubbish anyone who isn't his fellow fatty. IMO it's because he knows he'll get free tickets, invites & pies from his tubby buddy. The likes of Hoddle, McClaren or Garde wouldn't have the gobby charver anywhere near the club. Thank heavens we don't have his like commenting on our club http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/big-clamour-remi-garde-next-8396841
He may just be implying that Steve Bruce is of high calibre The puppet will be Carver, and with the first pull of the string Sissoko will be off with no replacement.
It's amazing that some Newcastle supporters so readily accepted being bombed out of the FA Cup by the bottom team. Leicester have lost more games than any other PL team but apparently some Newcastle fans felt that defeat was totally expected. No matter that the team included legendary 'Graham Carr's Gems' like £8 million Cabella, £7 milllion Anita & £6 million Riviere as well as 'true Geordies' like Armstrong & Dummett. This wasn't a bunch of youth team players & loanees, these are all players who've played in the first team like Tiote who's played over 100 games. Alnwick couldn't be blamed for Newcastle only having 4 attempts on goal in 90 minutes, Leicester have shipped goals all season. This despite the fact that this game was all that stood between NUFC and reaching the 60th anniversary since they last won a current major trophy. That means that the last Mag to celebrate at Wembley will be drawing his pension. And today some appear to be resigned to certain defeat at Chelsea, a team they beat recently & who were just battered by Spurs. Singing 'We're ****' and booing the team may get the attention they always crave but it can't do much to inspire the players.
Never heard them booing the team. I know the booed Carver when he went over to them after the game, rightly in my opinion, I don't want him near the club tbh. Not too fussed about Anita, but I still think Cabella will come good. Nice to see you reverting to type. I didn't even know UB40 were Newcastle fans.
How deluded must Carver be eh mate? The bloke has got away with murder at Newcastle, don't Hull have an opening now Agnew's walked out? Carver & Bruce would make a dream team wouldn't they ....... swapping clothes and everything. BTW, I see your obsessed little pals are on the Sunderland board again with their mischievous little tags, proper scamps aren't they Anyway, off to find a stream, should've been there but our lass has two broken ribs so I'm staying home.
Can't stand carver after his outburst at Southampton. Never made a tag or rated a thread in my time on 606. Never look at them. Broken ribs are bloody sore mate...... Hope she's on the mend soon.
Cheers mate, I'll pass that on ....... in her 50's and injured hersel having a snowball fight, with the binmen, in the street
Cheers QWOP, here's summat you might like. It's called, 'A history of bedsheets, spelling mistakes, pitch invasions & fights with the police.' http://flashbak.com/newcastle-united-fans-1905-2000-25533/
I was in the east stand paddock that game, don't know why as I always went in the Leazes End. Anyway one of the two blokes who started that got chased off the police and jumped into the paddock right beside me. He got a good hiding off some fans before the police dragged his fat arse out. I'm assuming that pictures from the Forest game. Could have been Man Utd or Leeds though. Pitch invasions were quite popular around that time.
