Just to check you are all still alive.

What was unusual about the City shirts in the 4-1 away win up at Mansfield back in September 1976 in the old division 3. I was a young un at that game and oblivious to the fact and only found this out just recently. Alcohol was priority number one in them days. :emoticon-0119-puke:

Bog off Bluey.

I'll have to take a raincheck on that one Bob - in '76 I'd gone back to Stafford CAT from 3 year sandwich course based in SW3 (:emoticon-0159-musicblue is the colour, football is the game:emoticon-0159-music) for another year up there with English Electric/GEC to finish my Dip Tech.

I was at Vale Park watching Port Vale at the time - now that WAS an experience...........<laugh>

Bob - don't want to be a pain mate, but we weren't in the old 3rd division in '76/'77 - we were in the old second division and we didn't play Mansfield....................:emoticon-0138-think:emoticon-0138-think

75/76 Spark. Promotion year. Malcolm Allison, Hereford Town centre and soccer special, jumpers for goalposts.

Was it the 1st time we used the kit will a yellow & white stripe ?

Or that purple one <yikes>

Near as damn it Masky. <ok> The ref decided our kit and Mansfield's were too similar and because we didn't have a spare set of kit on the day we played in Mansfield's away kit.

Glad someone came up with the answer, I can't remember that far back these days.
